Unlike many members of the British upper crust, Carole and Michael had neither titles nor a historic family home. In fact, Carole Middleton was famously descended from James Harrison, a coal miner based in Northern England. According to The Standard, his "home was to be a humble two-up, two-down miner's cottage on the main village street." It was a far cry from the vast estates inhabited by the ancestors of William's closest friends. Read More: www.thelist.com/1581308/tragic-details-kate-middleton-parents/

I get irritated when I see stuff like this. No one made these people run after William and quite frankly, why do the Midds want to be around people who will never truly accept them? Why keeps pushing into places where they are not invited? Kate has been with William for twenty years, ten while dating and now over ten in marriage, but for some reason, Kate refuses to play the waiting game and do her duty. The Midds in my view are disliked mainly since Kate is not paying the dues of her position and justifying the continuation of that way of life. The Midds refuse to accept boundaries and accept that they are not there by right and the aristos know exactly how these types of people operate. If Kate had done full time duties, then she would earn their respect and earn their inclusion. Second, the Midds are causing chaos and as a result of Harry being away there is a real void in the way the BRF operates and each year Kate refuses to work, Kate creates more and more effective momentum for anti-monarchists. Kate is in fact cavalier about maintaining justification for a way of life that is the only way of life they know and the only way of life that they want.
Point blank, Kate is a basic person in a situation that is not basic and comes with its own complications and specific struggles and Kate has refused to adjust and adapt. Kate is like Diana in that Kate and Diana think of their marriages in very basic terms and very basic focus. Kate does not see that there is a lot at stake right now and second, Kate has refused to get out there and work her a## off to create substance to her status. If the BRF falls, the monarchy falls and so does the aristocracy. Realistically there is no guarantee of a safe and stable transition and there is no guarantee that the aristocracy would be allowed to quietly go about their lives and there is no guarantee that refuge would be obtained in the event of an event such as a violent revolution or even the most basic instability that accompanies an end to any monarchy. Kate's refusal to work has created a lot of internal dissension and it is obvious that this is worse since the BRF and aristocracy are supposed to be engaging in a united front no matter what. I do not think that the dolt Midds get it that this isn't about snobbery or being mean, it is how frustrated people at the top are with how they are destabilizing a family that has struggled with stability ever since the 90's and up until late 2010, the BRF had finally achieved stability.
Each time Kate flouts her DUTY, she makes it harder for the older generation to maintain things and then there is the fact that she is neglecting her husband. Ever since her marriage she and her family have been exploiting the favors of the BRF for far too long and Kate's refusal to step up makes it worse. William obviously ahs no wife/consort at home tending to his domestic needs and it is clear she is neglecting him emotionally and psychologically. She does nothing. She quaffs wine and watches TOWIE while smoking like a chimney and that is not what she is paid by the taxpayer for.
