Buckingham Palace has been transformed several times and the building we see now is a GLOBAL ICON. In normal times, the Palace is permanently surrouned by crowds of tourists who bring milions into the country. I have visited BP several times as a tourist, the State rooms are magnificent, the grounds even more so and how do YOU know what the private rooms are like? As if.

It IS going to be used. For garden parties, for official occasions, for ceremonial occasions, for hosting Heads of State of other countries. The Queen has ALWAYS divided her time between BP and Windsor so nothing much new here. BP is the UKs most iconic building, it brings in millions every year from the crowds of tourists who visit it and the renovations are money well spent.
