I think after HM dies, there will be a seismic shift. At least the ducal heirs seem to keep their lives straight. They do nothing. James Midd has even less excuse to be louche and less excuse to be feckless since he does not come from money and it is clear that he really does think that his BIL is a kind of trust fund of it's own. James has no business hanging out with kids whose lives are way out of his league and he has no right to put on airs as if he himself were in fact one of them with a title and funds in his own right.
