Monarchical Restoration

Thing is, that nothing is stopping these royals from serving and making contributions beyond their much hyped 'historical connection' and such. I do not believe that there is anything stopping dethroned royals from joining the military and fighting in real battle or getting qualifications plus training and spending all their time in civil service or training to become a genuine diplomat. There is nothing stopping them from training in medicine and doing work as a doctor and a nurse or anything else involving medicine. What is stopping them from building a business in their countries that they used to reign over and hire their fellow people and running their business in a way that would actually benefit their people more directly? The only thing stopping them is themselves and their seeming belief that they should be set up in grandeur like the Windsors or European royals. There is no way that Eastern Europeans can afford that and even if they could, the royals have a lot of gall taking money from their own people. I just resent this idea that they 'deserve' to be given something that is all too often throughout history earned. Royals used to come from the most ruthless fighters in the pack and I believe that for one reason or another, these days royals seem to sincerely believe that sentiment is enough in any leadership position and it is not.
