She charmed many - including the French and the Americans with whom she had stunningly successful relations and those relations were vital during the 2WW - she was strong, loyal, dedicated and did her duty all of her long life. She enjoyed her life and her work and that is what a lot of modern sour pusses just cant stand. She was without doubt the most popular member of the RF for many decades and deservedly so.

He's becoming unhinged and he is becoming a danger. Alizee had better bail out before he starts going crazy on her. This isn't even funny. As for staying with the Queen Mother, it is clear that the QM had huge leverage over her staff. She paid them badly so they couldn't leave and she was someone who could have sabotaged them if they had ended up breaking away. Back then, the BRF was sacrosanct and could make/break people regularly and did.

Happy Yorky. William has had nothing like the experience his father has had, nor has he achieved as much. William was close to his grandmother the Queen, learnt much from her and so could George from his grand father Charles the future King. The Middletons cant be of much help to him and I dont think their influence is necessarily a good one for a future King.

Given that Prince George's paternal grandfather will be King, it is he who George should be closer to. George will need to learn how King ship works and who better than Charles to help him do that with his background and experience? The Middletons cant help him. They are not Royal. All they can teach him is how to be middle class and suburban and ever so slightly common. I can see that the Middletons have done very well pushing their daughters up the social scale - spectacularly well in the case of their eldest daughter - but that is not what a future King needs to know.
