The Princess of Wales opened the final of Eurovision in spectacular fashion, with a touching piano performance tribute to Ukraine - but the contest ended in heartbreak for the UK's entrant Mae Muller, who came second last.

Kate played piano alongside last year's Ukrainian winners, the Kalush Orchestra, in a stunning opening sequence for the grand final, shown to an estimated worldwide audience of 160 million.

Each of the 26 acts fought to get their hands on the coveted glass microphone trophy, but it was Sweden who stormed to victory, with their act Loreen making history as the first woman to win the competition twice.

I think Kate is on her way out.

William is no longer going to protect his wife from her failures and I am certain that she will be broomed out. She was booed by Liverpool and she might be able to delude herself that she can start doing stuff now, but she is at the worst possible age to start working and taking responsibilities seriously. I do not think she cares, but with Kate, right when she thinks she's secure, she ends up losing her footing. She likely did not expect booing and she does not seem to have any kind of awareness of how much time she has lost.

I think this is setting off a really bad reaction in the musical world. You dont mess with other people's crafts to try to promote yourself. This was such a bad move and this need to promote themselves at any cost is almost pathological.
