He only goes out drinking when he has some time off (which is not much) so it would depend if he has time off.
However at least if he did he would have earned it because of the hard work he would have just done.

I don't see (personally) what the big deal is if it is to bring attention to the charity. He is not doing some expose on his personal life or trying to drum up trade for a business. If it is a one off or something I think it is fine.
He did a photoshoot and it has appeared in a (none trashy) magazine. At least it is not Hello!

William did a Hello spread for the homeless charity he's affiliated with and gave engagement press to a magazine homeless people sell so they could sell more, so at least Harry isn't the first. Hello has also gotten many exclusive pictures of W/K and kisses so much Middleton a** that I think they've had an advantage over other press...
I'd don't mind GQ, has a male readership that isn't as celeb obsessed. It's kinda like a younger Esquire, so I see it as a good platform instead for a manly Arctic trek to get men interested in doing things instead of Hello (or any other celeb mag, I don't know much about UK mags) where it'd be trading off of any heartthrob, gossip, or Diana status.
I can't wait to see the BBC documentary if they put it on the iPlayer.

It's double standards, but I feel like they're using different aspects of their status, like W/K use their relationship, Diana, etc. to get in the press for William's causes while Harry seems to only promote himself as a soldier or himself, if that makes sense?
But I do think doing it like PW's Africa doc. would have been better, he didn't do any interviews but the man who covered it did them. Or at the very least, a group cover shot instead of Harry alone since it's promoting the teams efforts. But then we wouldn't get such great photos...conflicted!

The difference I see, from a fundraiser's perspective, is that this operation is not only subsidized by firm supporters, but is also a genuine need that PH truly believes in and has a place in his heart.
I have never felt that from WK, so it's a wait-and-see with her. So far, it's felt more like testing the waters with those two and any affiliations they choose, which all seem like safe havens strictly for WK's training purposes, so that galls me a bit.
However, I see nothing wrong with GQ's giving a portion of the proceeds to the effort, but would have liked to know just how much. It's a win/win for any company. GQ gets the tax break and monies are given where needed. But, if it's .00000001 of the cost of the mag that's a different story. I went to the web page and it's odd that there isn't any mention of what portion GQ's coughing up for this.

I will agree to disagree I see PH no better than PW in this situation their both doing this to promote whatever they need to for PR or whatever. IMO so won't matter to me if you all stick up for PH or not.

Richard Palmer is fantastic.. he's one of the few reporters that actually responds to questions from us common folk..he actually tweets me anytime he does a Prince Harry article
for updates on the North Pole trek I suggest following @benfogle (he's on the ground reporting for NBC) and @supportthewalk (the charity sponsoring the event)
but the picture/videos of Prince Harry from this trek are yumtastic.. I am torn between booking a flight on priceline and buying new batteries

also you can donate to the cause. They are trying to raise £2,000,000 and are only around £440,000 at moment...thats the purpose of the GQ magazine/BBC documentary to raise money and awareness

Keep warm, Harry! He seems to be, single-handedly, saving the face of the BRF. I'll bet PW is pea-green with envy at the adventuresome spirit he is no longer able to experience. He gets Wasty and her entire cockeyed brood and Harry gets to face a mountain and more. We're still waiting, out here in SoCal, for him to show up and start surfing.
