I think the reason she was holding her crotch was: a) to stop the dress from gaping open (smart choice, Kate :rolleyes:) and b) in this photo from our Sydney paper, she's flashing the ring - AGAIN. :rolleyes: I know this is mean, but since she LOVES flashing that ring in everyone's faces, I'd just love it if she lost it.

But why do I get the feeling that the media treat Kate as they deem she deserves to be treated? What I mean is: if William were marrying an aristocrat, or really nice girl, who had kept her head down, working quietly, and conducted herself like a lady should, not having paraded in underwear, nor flashing her crotch in micro-skirts, staggering out of night clubs grinning like a cat, revelling in media attention when it suits, then I think we wouldn't have these crass stories. :think:
Kate's media image is racy, whether deserved or not.

I think was so inappropriate that the store told the paper which kind of underwear she bought, and the price. What's the big deal? I stocked up on lingerie before getting married.
I think she wants to say that she is thrifty, despite who she's marrying. She wants to show she's down to earth, especially when she bought the sample sunglasses. :bored:
Maybe I'm being a square, but she could have purchased her lingerie online, instead of letting people know what kind of underwear she's getting. I think that, in her case, it's very personal. You don't let the whole world see something you're supposed to model for your husband :unsure: William is not like any husband, he's the future King of England!
I'm also puzzled at how there weren't throngs of people following her, you know, like when celebrities step out. She had bodyguards but people tend to follow from a distance, at least that's what happens to celebrities here in North America. I don't know about the U.K. though.

The fact she doesn't do this makes me think it's another PR stunt (I'm fed up of repeating this each time she does anything but it is). Do any of you ever recall knowing what sort of pants HM or Princess Margaret wore. Heaven knows we knew enough about Diana and Fergie but even in their respective cases I don't think we ever had a report about their choice of knickers.
