Okay, it's coming and it's gonna happen, but I wanted to see if anybody else is feeling as disconnected as I am. Perhaps it's a self-preservation thing; I'll have to ask my Royal Wedding Analyst. But, on the whole, I either feel furious, or sad, helpless or numb. It's like it's happening on another planet. Anyway, it's a tough go for me right now. :sigh:

Nothing makes sense; I feel at times like I'm in a parallel universe, but only when I focus on it, of course.

Naturally, the ubiquitous duo are EVERYWHERE, so it makes it hard to escape ... but certain places of business are like a protective shield.

My mother informed me today that they weren't too prominent in the physical daily Sydney paper, The Daily Telegraph, which made me sing. :loveshower:

What gives me comfort though is knowing that this pair of self-entitled brats will have to pay the piper. IMO, William had no business unleashing such a IMO lazy, unaccomplished woman with a spotlight loving family on to the UK and Commonwealth. The UK and Commonwealth deserved better, IMO, a whole lot better than Waity.

But just when you think that there is no justice in the world, something will happen to make you change your mind and believe again ... trust me.

I think it will slow down a bit through, especially on tv.

But for me it is just that 'finishing line' and I am focused on that.

We will have the honeymoon but then they are back to Angelsy and into hiding again.

I hope you're right. What a lovely thought, but there's a high investment the media have made and they want their money back. I personally believe we're going to hear MORE about them afterward and that HM will insist on high media coverage of their trip to Canada and wherever the he$$ else they're going, their chosen charities, and 'what's The Princess wearing now?'

There will be PC's visit to the US, the First Family's visit; endless. I can dream, but am too much of a realist to think they're going to get away with rubbing this in our faces all this time and being helped along by a realllllly snarky press who are, afterward, going to be all over 'em, like stink on a skunk.

One thing I do know, is that out of all of this disappointment and disgust, there is a nice man and a nice woman out there who won't waste the best years of their lives married to either one of them. Idiot William will be married to a selfish, lazy woman and Waity Katie will be married to someone who never respected her enough to openly acknowledge her to the world and in time, he will start reminding her of where she came from (and it isn't from his set), something that will grate on her nerves endlessly.

From 5 in the morning till 6 in the evening!

The British TV did not mention the wedding much until about a week ago and I think they will not cover much after the honeymoon - especially the news.

What gets me really frustrated is the adverts and tv shows about them. Which will stop after the wedding.

I will not have to hear about how Sky News will show it is HD
How ITV will show me extra footage of the Wedding Of The Century in every advert break.
Or food channels show me how to make Street Party food to celebrate this historic event
Home Makeover channels talking about Royal makeovers for the wedding.
Kids channels talking about every girls dream of being a Princess
Comedy networks showing back to back 'Royal' wedding (although I may watch the weddings from Vicar Of Dibley and Outnumbered again this evening )

All that shall pass in the coming weeks along with every website I visit talking about the Wedding.

It will die down in the next few weeks and then it will only be the Daily Kate... I mean Daily Mail who will fawn over her.

But i want see everything.. she asked for tree at the abbey, so i guess they want a medieval wedding.. i believe that will be a medieval wedding dress.. (i just hope she looked to mette marit wedding dress.. i just hope :cookie:)
i will wacht.. but because i know that in a few year 4 or 5 they will get divorce...

just one thing: in my country people are thinking that something is strange on this wedding.. people not buy the fairytale version.. at least the portuguese people they can not sell the image from a good family .. just look like social climbers.... :thumbsup: lol

I just pray for the best, that William will mature through this process and learns to come to terms with the past and plan better for the future. After marriage we'll see what William and Kate are truly made of. That's why I stopped wasting emotions on the engagement.

Coincidentally, I was at church tonight waiting for service to start. This lady next to me was talking with her friends and she happened to mention the royal wedding. She went: "So you know the royal wedding is this Friday. $30 million-that's how much it's going to cost. Do you know how much I'd do for the Kingdom of God with that much money? You know they wouldn't let anybody here [the U.S.] pay that much for a wedding."
Lol, even my fellow Christians are quite concerned about this wedding.

I'm suffering from Acute Royal Wedding News Coverage Burnout. I never though someone would surpass the way I felt about Paris Hilton, when she was everywhere in the news. Now it's William and Kate!!!! William and Kate!!!! William and Kate!!!!!! There's no way I can get away from it. Pictures of them are everywhere, someone talks about this bloody wedding on the radio. But I never felt like this inn regards to Princess Diana. Actually I missed her whenever I didn't see her pictures or read about her.

I agree re the press - they should have been doing more years ago, but they knew what side their bread was buttered. :whistle:

But, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but when CP Mary got married, we were saturated right up until after the christening of her first son. After that it died down, but many Australians were weary, even those who don't follow royalty. Mary rescinded her Australian citizenship and the press wouldn't let up, calling her "Our Australian princess", which rubbed people the wrong way. bignono We don't hear much about Mary these days, because of Kate, mostly. So, it's no better. :hiss:

Same here... Well despite everything.. i hope we are all wrong.. it's a little sad that a mariage goes wrong.. I have to say that i don't like see others in bad times.. specially when we are talking about mariages, chidren and love (I know whatever loves means!!!) but, people get hurt... and tomorow be happy for them and wish them luck!!!

I have decided to look at it like this. It will be a fabulous wedding - why shouldn't it be with all the resources and the very best of everything being thrown at it. So from that point of view I am going to mentally detach from the bride and her family and take it for what it is - a great British spectacle. I will watch it but will switch on before 11 and won't watch the Middletons gurning from BP.

I am not listening or watching anything in between. The DM is saying there are thousands lining the route already but my friend is down there and she says it's in the hudndreds. You see more hype. And that dear friends is it.

I can't wait for this week to be over, the only place I don't mind hearing about the wedding is here because I agree with just about everyone here.

I stopped watching the news so I didn't have to hear about it anymore but now they are doing Royal Wedding week on Disney Channel and Nick Jr. and people are changing their facebook pictures to Wills and Kugly's engagement picture.

My aunt called me the other day and said I must be beside myself in excitement :yeahright:....I burst her bubbly and told her exactly what kind of person Kate was and all about her family :nomorekate:. I haven't gotten anymore phone calls, she must have told the rest of the family lol.

Not only since I can't stand Kate but it will be 1 am here (California/Pacific time) and I just don't think that Kate is worth the trouble of getting up that early (or staying up late). June, I think the commentators are just repeating the press articles. I will only believe the Palace.

I did not watch the wedding, (I am watching clips now on the BBC website though) but I did see the balcony kiss ( you are going to pay for that Dad!)

My Parents watched it on Fox News to see how they would report it and 'for fun' (please do not take offence my American friends) because they do usually get things wrong and they use phrases such as "jolly old England' which makes my Dad smile.

My Mum thought Kate looked nice and managed to make me admit it :shy: My Father managed to distract me when they kissed ( :thankyou: dad ) by talking about the uniforms and then the planes as my Father used to fly them and is obsessed with Military History.

At the moment I am detached from everything and I think I am having an out of body experience today.

Her makeup for one, was hideous, her hair looked greasy and lank and she had bags under her eyes. I've definitely seen far prettier brides.

The dress was passable but a bit dull on her, as she's no Grace Kelly.

My MOTHER thought she looked nice and I said " I guess " because to me she looked better then she has in a while.

The makeup was better then she has done it in the past

The dress was not awful and didn't show any private parts. It also covered her bony chest which I think was good.

^I thought her hair looked freshly dyed. It seems to be a lighter brown than it was.

The more I look at it, the more I hate the molded cups on the bodice or whatever, it makes it look a bit lingerie-ish. If the cups looked softer, and the lace v didn't extend so low, I'd love it, but as it is, it's Princess Grace's dress if Princess Grace had an insatiable urge to show off the upper part of her breastbone.

I will, admittedly say she looks okay in some pictures, but she'd look better if her face wasn't so hard, her neck wasn't so vein-y, and the dress didn't seem to be highlighting her breasts. She looks like a plain, but decent movie bride, not a real one with a real "glow" and real love. I think if we'd seen a spark of genuine love and affection, she would have looked so much better.

In a weird way, to me she looked better and happier at her engagement than she did today because you could see she was happy, even though she didn't look as put together and pretty as she did today.

It's funny how we all see things differently ... my mother noted that Kate had looked better on other occasions. I tend to agree with her.

Her face did lack that "glow" of a bride. I'm thinking CP Mary, who looked stunning on her wedding day - at 32 - even with a plain dress. I LOVED Mary's dress. :loveshower: Mary looked very classy, very stunning and very regal on her wedding day. :thumbsup:

Compare Mary to Kate to know what I mean. Mary's skin just glowed with good health and she looked genuinely happy and moved.

What irks me is that Mary was widely considered for being a "plain" bride, yet she ran rings around Kate, who is praised for being stunning. :rolleyes:

Kate's hair to me looks 'freshly dyed' alright - but it's darker!

I too agree that she looked better on the engagement day - she had that "glow" about her.

On this thread , 'Please post all wedding dress articles here' , I posted more about her look. (in detail).

I am glad it's over. It did NOT effect me as much as I thought. I slept. (I guess I keep myself logged in on here) . I hope they disappear for a couple of years now. I'm glad there was no terrorism or attacks. No rain either ? Well, I also agree with whoever said she had NO glow (sorry I cannot see who posted that as I'm replying now).

^^Agreed. Cleavage big no-no. On the whole, the dress was flowy but it's been done so many times before. And her face was pasty and, yeah, no glow. It was as dull as dust, for me, and everybody seemed uncomfortable with everybody else. HM especially, who made a wisely hasty retreat.

And Pippa blew it also, for me, with that white (that doesn't seem right) thing. Anyway, it's over and now the real fun can begin.

Just, please, media, stop telling me how gradificous it was because it wasn't. It was, as PW put it, Princess Ordinary. Or, rather, Duchess Ordinary.

I was the one who said she had no glow. Just look at CP Mary's wedding photos to know what I mean about a stunning royal bride (whilst staying subdued). Even now, at nearly 40, Mary's skin is luminous - she has the dewey glow. Kate looks like an ageing drag queen with too much makeup. bignono

I don't know whose idea it was for Pippa and the girls to wear white, but it was a doozy, IMO. I think it might have been so as to keep the focus on Kate, but if that was the case, the dress shouldn't have been so figure-hugging. :rolleyes:

There are some hideous photos of her face and makeup. Pock marks on her forehead are awful!

She didn't make the best use of her lovely hair - it looked lank and greasy, IMO. It looked better last night. I can't believe that with all the money in the world, this is the best they could do. Shocking, really.

It's quite obvious to me that HM is trying to have as little to do with this as possible. It's palpable but the media keep on insisting that this whole wedding fiasco is "perfect". It's very annoying and only serves to disappoint people when the truth comes out.

IMHO KUG could have done SOOOOO much better in the HAIR department ! What happened ? I honestly thought her hair would be all pouffed up and gloriously volumized ! Just the opposite happened !

After this affair, I'm actually pretty good, watching Wild About Prince Harry.

I'm in the process of getting the Harry, HM, and maybe some other footage separated from the rest of the wedding. That and there's this guy, during the hymn, that makes this really creepy face and I want a gif from it. and I totally want a clear clip of HMs nod and look away.

I'm v. v. bored, done with school, and feeling like I want to stay in, so it'll give me something to do.

^^^^Somewhere up there, Lanvin, we ALL have the post-wedding let-down. It's a fact of life and this was so bloated that the let-down may prove to be more pronounced. I'm betting on some major emotional/psychological issues now from WK afterward, when her goal is now met and she has to follow through.

As every golfer knows, it's all about the follow-through and she isn't made of that sterner stuff. Plus, I saw marked boredness, or maybe impatience or irritation on HM's face. Bad times ahead if that's true.

I guess it's comforting to know that Wait's not going to have the charmed life she thinks she deserves. Also, I can't see the monarchy or her marriage lasting long enough for her to become queen.

It's hard to pinpoint exactly why he reacted the way he did, I agree; it was very odd. :dontknow: But gay men can also be distant too so as not to send out misleading signals. My first thought was that he is nervous around attractive women, whomever (not talking about myself specifically at all) but when he married Waity and with new information coming to light, I'm starting to think outside the square. :think:

You can tell by her high pitched, Miss Innocent, fake voice, that she thinks she deserves a charmed life. Well, as you say, she'll be in for a rude awakening.

I hope the Brits ditch the monarchy before she becomes Queen. Please, God. :worship:

The voice thing, I think, it part of her being manipulative. It's disarming and nonthreatening so it would work well with men who feel power or responsibility because it makes them feel like big-strong-manly-man who can play the hero.

:think: I think that's her mode with him, stroke his ego and let him get away with things. She's using it less now, but it's when she stares up at him when he's talking, when she'd act upset at the photographers, and like at their first engagement where he was letting him give her directions. She played the lost little girl who needs Big Willie's guidance. Now, she works the crowds like a pro, checks cameras, etc. She knows she doesn't have to play the part anymore.

I keep getting down, but I also keep being aware that while Kate got the ring, wedding, and a small crown, she will pay for it dearly and will likely be left by William the minute she makes her first mistake. The reason I cannot get over this is because it feels so UNNATURAL that she's there. I also read that the tiara she wore isn't a tiara, but a headdress. A proper tiara would have been larger and a lot more elaborate.

I never heard a "high pitched voice" for K. All I heard is the low, intelligent but mannish sounding voice (Di and Fergie have it too) of the engagement interview.

I don't think KUGLY works the crowds that well, yet. She seems overly nervous IMO.

I know that this is going to be everywhere... but would anyone else mind (especially this question is for you TCP) if we put up the previous banner? I like this site, but everywhere I go I see pics of Kates grinning smugness... and this is the one place that I would hope wouldn't pander to her like other sites do. Or maybe we can have the popping up Kate pic be a pic of her at the wedding... but I liked the inclusion of the other royals. Sorry if I'm being nitpicky, and if you don't feel like changing it that's fine, just a request. :hug:
