If she had spent all her time doing athletic competitions and endorsements, she would be a huge celebrity in her own right. Social climbing, trying to pressurize her way into society was a horrific mistake and it is clear that she was someone who threw a HUGE chance at life away. She would be a millionaire and would have perfectly legitimate fame.

Those close say she is keeping a low profile, unlike the days of the Press on speed dial. She is allegedly mortified as every time she is in the news the question of QE having been reported to have made one of her famous phone calls to get pips’s ’ FIL off the hook from the rape and abuse charges arises.

You know, I remember that Pippa laughed off the book's failure and I wonder how much she was laughing when she was kicked out of her book contract. She really wrecked that entire chance she had and it is clear that she was so LUCKY to get that much cash and she blew all those chances to promote that book on Oprah and Ellen. It is clear that she didn't take her responsibilities seriously and I could not believe it that she was partying in NYC with lower rate celebrities instead of doing meet/greets that would promote the sales of her book. She was partying with Chase Crawford instead of doing appearances at book stores and I remember that stupid article about how she was oh so posh by eating at the Carlyle Hotel despite the fact that supposedly the Carlyle is a perfectly solid place where a lot of people go to eat.

I did think at some point that Pippa was at that party as part of the entertainment, not as a respectable guest. She was dressed the same as one of the hired dwarfs and she was oddly separate from the rest of the guests as they waited to be ushered inside. Second, this is the best she can do when it comes to the European aristocracy; a smutty party with a disgusting bondage theme. For the aristocrats this is slumming at a temporary gutter level, but for Pippa, this is as high socially as she was going to ever go.

Pippa was said to have stopped speed dialling to get herself in the papers when every time she did the Court case where her FIL was accused of rape and abuse kept popping up. QE was alleged to have made one of her famous ‘phone calls’ to get it quashed. Those close said Kate was ‘advised’ to keep her distance.

I wonder if covering for the Midds is costing HM political capital. The more she protects the Midds, the more she brings disrepute onto the BRF. Protecting Andrew and now Pippa's FIL is something that must be causing a great deal of resentment. Each time HM covers for that family, it creates even more work for the courtiers and puts everyone on edge. It also creates blackmail materiel for others to use against the British government.

This is so wrong to do to the courtiers. As it is, they have to keep the moron Windsors on track and now they are covering up the antics of a family that they did not sign on to serve and it is clear that there might be some kind of revolt. The courtiers are doing double the work for half the pay and I do not GET why HM protects them so much. If William needs to learn through being burned, so be it.

HM and Charles are asleep at the switch with anything regarding Willy Wanderdick. They do nothing to rein this spoiled brat in. This is really stupid course to follow because he doesn't have what it takes to be a king today or tomorrow. They have created a huge monster.

If HM is protecting Pippa's FIL, this means that the monarchy is now seen as the perfect haven for trash; like Monaco really, a sunny place for shady people. So instead of the pinnacle of prestige (genuine prestige, not Hollywood's version of prestige) and rank, it is now a place for shady types to run to in order to have their pasts cleaned up and resumes enhanced and also be secure from consequences. This is what happens when royals do not stay in their own circles. They mix with trash and prefer to end up refusing to be careful about who they are seen with. They take a very simple view of life and a very simple view of everything, really. It is also clear that HM is in almost clinical denial of the reality of the situation and those that are not and are eager to help are in fact not empowered to fix things. Charles is still determinedly refusing to run anything and he can't since HM, as Sovereign, is in charge.
