Neither are boys. The problem is that William and Harry haven't grown up emotionally and neither William or Harry are boys at all. Neither are young anymore. Neither want to behave accordingly. This ongoing conflict is in fact just two overgrown brats who refuse to grow the holy hell up. Edit: Kate has had no right to speak with either. She is not their mother and she is not an authority figure. She is not someone to talk to either as if she is in that kind of position and in my view, aside from the fact that both princes are idiots, Kate has real issues with boundaries and behavior herself. She has real issues with respecting the fact that her role is as kind of an adjacent or kind of support system. It's not as someone who is in a position to lecture her in-laws. Kate is not their mother and is not head of the family and never will be. Either way, in time, William will be in charge, not Kate.
I think "Kate having a word with 'the boys'" may just be some PR malarkey - remember they (Cambridge Press ®) like to push Kate as the 2nd Coming. Funny, too, as it may have just been Council Caro pouring poison in Billy's ear about his brother, and further straining relations. Yeah, but Kate is the victor in all this, my a$$.
William is an adult, not an ingenue young man with no knowledge of the world. By the time he started uni he had been around the world a ton of times, had spent much time with the top level, and had walked behind his mother's coffin in front of the planet without actually falling apart. Pity he never grew and evolved from all that.

PUBLISHED: 07:00 EDT, 26 August 2022 | UPDATED: 08:13 EDT, 26 August 2022Prince Harry 'slammed the phone down' on Prince William after being confronted with witness statements portraying Meghan Markle as a vicious bully of female staff, a new French documentary claims.
In turn, William – 'who already didn't like his sister-in-law very much' – became so angry at his brother's insistence on protecting his wife from criticism that he jumped in a car 'towards Kensington Palace to go and confront Prince Harry'.
The explosive claims are contained in a documentary by the most popular TV news outlet in France.
ADVERTISEMENT BFM TV displays emails - disclosed as part of the Duchess of Sussex's privacy claim against the Mail on Sunday - in an investigative documentary series called 'Red Line: William and Harry, the enemy brothers'.
It claims that traumatised staff resigned from the Royal Household and set up a WhatsApp group called 'The Sussex Survivors' Club'.
The documentary is timed to come out next week, on the 25th anniversary of the death of William and Harry's mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, in a Paris car crash on August 31, 1997.

That 'office' is a prop; no active worker has an office that bare. Second, throughout the past so many years William let the press and some facets of the establishment to disrespect his brother repeatedly and that should NEVER have been allowed to happen. Third, Kate should have been made to keep her filthy hands off of Harry and should have been set straight about her meddling. Fourth, the minute Pippa started up her campaign, Kate should have been made to pay for it.

I can add, that's no ergonomic office and the way it's set up, seems a safety hazard with wires and whatnot - would never pass muster for a work from home situation. William's noted rage here is rather scary. Seriously - getting physically abusive? - who is that incensed over a brother wanting to protect his wife and family? What bullsh#te lies has Billy been feeding Knauf, as Knauf is certainly taking his cues from him. Aren't staff supposed to sign some non-disclosure form? Why is this seemingly not applicable with the Cambridge's staff, or as usual they are giving carte-blanche privileges? Are the Cambridges' staff themselves being bullied and/or goaded/threatened with their employment if they aren't made to speak out against the Sussexes? Kate and that whole shoddy Middleton lot are still being protected and coddled; over a blood prince and his family. Why, I have to ask any and all who aren't looking more closely into the Cambridges and their actions. Why?Also, how did Knauf's and Case's email exchange come to light? Isn't that considered private, personal information unless there was a specific request for it was carried out due to a legal matter/court case? I'm not a lawyer, so can only speculate how that originally came out/was brought to light.

I know I will never understand it. Harry was left to fend for himself and was repeatedly maltreated by a family that should have been lifting him up. The biggest flaw of royal families is that they tear down the 'spares,' but it is clear that as a blood prince, then a royal duke, then a future Duke of York, that Harry should have been protected and better educated and assisted in developing an impenetrable place in the BRF. He should have been placed in training as a Viceroy of one or even two Commonwealth nations and should have been nurtured and encouraged and told that he was vital to the nation and he should have been treated better by his family. He should have been invested with Councilor of State and he should have been assigned an office under the protection of HM. William was over-coddled and it shows why things are such a mess. Diana was over-coddled and look at where she ended up.
If royal life is going to be relevant and respected, the members, MAINLY the support network, has to be treated with respect and dignity and need to be treated accordingly by the Sovereign and by staff and by even government officials. HM (as usual) messed up by leaving Harry with no guidance or protection and the royals themselves are showing how pointless they are by their own lack of respect for their own kind.

I think I have a view that might be novel:
Once Harry was born, his well being should have been a huge focus for QE and the senior court of the Sovereign. William should have been a focus of his parents and Harry should have been under the protection of the sovereign. As 'spare' and someone who is ostensibly back up for William, Harry should have been better protected and should have been educated and trained in a non-Prussian school setting and should have been protected better. If Harry had been protected from family dysfunction and from being assigned some role by Diana and protected from being fetishist and sexualized by the press that was out of line in describing a fifteen/sixteen/seventeen year old in portraying Harry as a sexual being before he was legally of age. It was sick. Then as he was a young kid, he should have been out of any official public eye being surrounded by a stable situation no matter what. Second, Harry should not have been groomed to let William get love and positive attention first and be expected to wait until Diana was done cooing over William. Harry should have been getting training not to go too far out of his social set and should have been educated according to his nature. After Diana's death, Harry and William should have been raised to bond as much as possible and should have been removed from the public eye until he was fully capable of developing a stable household of his own in his own right. Bringing the princes around the world to meet the Spice Girls and parading them around and letting the press bury those princes in the memory of their mother was wrong.
If I had been Sovereign I would have required them to spend their schooling in the country together and should have been developing a healthy symbiotic relationship. A leader is only as effective and protected as their backup, their reinforcements. I wouldn't have wanted either prince in an aristocratic oriented boarding school since country parties were not in their future way of life. Second, I would have ordered that any communication be vetted by myself and I would have firmly informed Elton John and other celebrities that they were no longer welcome to maintain ties with the princes since their mother was dead and the princes were no longer connected to them. I would have then met with them monthly and would have commanded their presence at holiday gatherings with the appearances at certain public events being pre-decided by the princes and therefore up to them. If they were ready, okay, but if not, no problem. As for interviews, I would make it clear that as a condition, the press is banned from mentioning Diana unless either prince brought her up.
Thing is, that this would have been avoided if William had been raised with more challenges and Harry with less neglect. Harry was surrounded by people who were refusing to adapt their upbringing to a society that was enabling predators to gain access to public figures far more easily. In the 90's and 00's, the courtiers were older men and women who were not capable of the kind of strategizing that this era requires and even political heads of state have younger staffers to help navigate certain areas. The problem with lifelong service is that is prevents adapting and there is a lack of appreciation with those with a traditional adherence, but with good strategies on how to handle predators, genuine predators, not just pushy press. If William had been raised with more consequences than protection, he would have had ot mature. If Harry had been better protected, he would have been healthier and more steady. This was a classic case of stupidity and in the past, the spares were married off to foreign families or were at least heavily educated and far more empowered and protected than neglected.

Aside: Haven't you been paying attention? www.thedailybeast.com/prince-harry-and-prince-william-how-did-things-get-so-badROYALIST Prince Harry and Prince William: How Did Things Get So Bad? BREAKDOWN They were once so close. But Harry's memoir, “Spare,” reveals how far their relationship has deteriorated, including a claim that William knocked Harry to the ground.
Tom Sykes Royalist Correspondent Published Jan. 05, 2023 4:46AM ET The Guardian, which obtained a copy of Harry's memoir Spare, due out next Tuesday, detailed how William allegedly attacked Harry at the latter’s then-home in Kensington Palace, during an argument about Meghan Markle and Harry’s status as the royal “spare” compared to first-born William, the heir. It is that relegated status which Harry has chosen as the stark title of his memoir.
Harry writes that his brother “came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”... Their bond not only survived William’s relationship with Kate, which began in 2002, but was strengthened by it. When she and William got engaged, Harry called her the big sister he never had. He reputedly would pop into their apartment at Kensington Palace for roast chicken dinners. He appeared to adore her and was happy for his brother that he had found the perfect partner. It may have been particularly hard, therefore, for William and Kate to hear Harry saying in Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan that William married Kate because she fitted the part, not for love.[/i]

So after accomplishing something amazing and garnering good press, they kick him into a gutter room instead of being given a suite? The royals really know how to dump on their support network.
Yes, William is definitely out of line. I do not think that "Heir" should be a position in and of itself. Clearly this fits the pattern of behavior of William's.

It's his casual and relentless cruelty to Prince William - in the name of 'honesty' - that is so monstrous, writes JAN MOIR By JAN MOIR FOR THE DAILY MAIL
PUBLISHED: 17:05 EST, 12 January 2023 | UPDATED: 17:49 EST, 12 January 2023Going Spare? Me, too. Yet while there has been so much about Prince Harry this week — everything from his frozen penis to losing his virginity alfresco, although sadly these two incidents are not connected — let us spare a thought for Prince William.
Where does all this leave him? Imagine his position. For most of your life you have loved and looked out for your little brother, only to discover via the pages of the fastest-selling memoir in history — 1.43 million copies in all formats in U.S., Canada and Britain on day one — that he resented you all along. Deeply.
Everything, from your bigger bedroom and your more exalted position in the family hierarchy, to your physical resemblance to Mummy, which he envy, envy, envies. Then he exults when this resemblance disappears with age, replaced by ‘your alarming baldness, more advanced than mine’.
So casually cruel, in the name of being honest, as the song goes.
