Maria Antonia of Austria (Marie Antoinette of France)

Amazing how much like Marie Antoinette was like Empress Sisi and Princess Diana of Wales; badly raised, unprepared to handle any kind of interaction with the outside world, and how UNDER-EDUCATED they were as a result of an upbringing that their mothers and fathers should have been more responsible towards. Marie Antoinette was not stupid, but she was not well raised and was not adequately trained to adulthood, much less any kind of responsibilities that came with a high station. The French are always unstable, but if I had been in Marie's position with who I am as a person, I would have ended up going to France with a determination to bring as many advantages as I could to my nation. I would have shamelessly kissed the fannies of the nobility while making sure that at least Paris was well looked after. Marie was in fact a woman who had the ability to make a brilliant queen, but she was hamstrung by her own regressive determination to extend her childhood. I'm also reminded of Prince William as well. William had a great start in life, but squandered it. I wonder WHY she is idolized despite the fact that she was in fact not at all a woman who lived up to her end of her bargain in her responsibilities as Queen.
