I thought this would be a perfect place to discuss "The Crown" and the drama surrounding it this and other past seasons.

Interesting Clip from The Crown with Edward VIII
I think this is genuinely poignant. No one could have fathomed that Hitler would have accomplished what he did. Anti-antisemitism was in fact fashionable among the elites and it is clear that no one could conceive of what ended up going down. There is no way that anyone could have really done anything mainly since by the time the reality of the situation set in, the system was in place, the SS perfectly established, and the process of transport and extermination perfected. The first World War ripped the world apart and overthrew three ancient royal dynasties (Hapsburg/Hohenzollern/Romanov) and dissolved the Ottoman Empire in Turkey. The CROWN—Princess Diana danced to 'Uptown Girl' — The CROWN S4
Amazing. The posh audience loved it, loved her, and Charles was seething. She did nothing wrong and she was among her set, not viewed by the general public. She was dazzling and this is likely a perfectly recreated rendition of that infamous dance. She looks classy and elegant and sexy in the truest sense of the word, not tarty.

I wish they would stop portraying Diana as ignorant of the royal ways; upon entering the room, she would have been heavily trained to curtsy to the Queen and other royal women before joining Charles' side and it is clear that for some reason there is still this myth that Diana knew nothing of a way of life that she was born into. I just believe it would be refreshing to see Diana portrayed as something other than an ingenue ignorant of the royal life.

When the show kissed the behinds of the royals the entire crew got honors and stuff, but meanwhile at this point, the royals are now complaining. Fed up with how the royals flip on everyone all the time.

I am sick of this; there is this show that Netflix creates that regenerates renewed interest in the BRF and now suddenly after a season that doesn't show everything as roses and pie, the BRF and establishment freaks out. One would have thought that the BRF had ended up being portrayed as a bunch of axe murderers. I would say something about their portrayal in the context of mistreating children, but that would end up portraying Prince Andrew rather accurately.
