This is such a sweet family. You can tell Vic and Dan are truly in love. And they adore their precious children who just so happen to look like them.

Sofia has been tireless in her efforts to contribute as a medical assistant and I love how she is now going to quarantine instead of make difficulties.

Yes - respect for those who aren't constantly whining and complaining how they cannot handle privileges. Queen Louise (Mountbatten) was a highly respected volunteer nurse on the French front in WW1 - Sophia's in good company, with a series of Swedish princesses and Queens who worked actively for the poor or to improve conditions for the nursing profession.

Then there were the Romanovs who spent their entire fortune on the creation of the Russian Red Cross and worked as nurses and did what they could to help. It's a real shame that 'modern' royals basically do nothing but posture or jet set while grinning like blithering idiots. Victoria and Daniel are running around without masks and I agree with the King that the response in Sweden has not been wise.

It's sad that these stories are almost lost to history - there are some fascinating stories that can be found and brought up. If I find any, I will be sure to post here. There were the nursing Queens and Princesses of WWI, and as you mentioned the Romanovs who created the Russian Red Cross, and literally spent their fortunes on bettering conditions for their countrymen, etc. I would wager these stories are not very well known because these people were not trying to gain attention for themselves. They just honestly wanted to help and be of service. A completely different value system than what is celebrated today.

It's a real shame that CP Victoria and Daniel are being of no help and running around without a mask is in fact brain dead behavior.

They're just not smart. Modern royals have grown up so spoiled and pampered that they literally cannot function. They are raised to think that everything and everyone should just assemble properly upon the snapping of their fingers and it is clear that CP Victoria is just as brainless as the rest of them. It's not like they've actually evolved beyond the brainless -tale narrative.

Not saying that being dyslexic is synonymous with being not gifted intellectually, but maybe certain thought processes are a little...off? I don't know. www.readingrockets.org/article/dyslexia-and-brain-what-does-current-research-tell-us

I think the role of consort is kind of frustrating; not only are they in a subordinate position, they are treated publicly in a way that likely makes it worse. Victoria, at the wedding of her sister, had Daniel carry Estelle's shoes and other small stuff while she carried Estelle and while I thought it was an adorable display of marital division of labor, I now think that it was humiliating for Daniel. Then there is the fact that neither Gustaf or Silvia wanted Daniel and he was put through a lot of media abuse and then there is the fact that it would be awkward knowing that he wasn't what they wanted for their daughter/heir. Being made to wait ten straight years would build up a huge amount of resentment and dislike.

If Daniel leaves, I sometimes think that would show he has a TON of stones. Leaving that position would be a huge slap in the face and I cannot imagine that he is eternally cheery and sunny all the time. I think Victoria is likely unable to see below the surface of people.
