Royalty "op-eds"

I think after the pandemic, there will be a lot of rebuilding and royalty will not be able to be part of the mainstream culture that will redevelop into something vastly different. I am seeing how royalty is unprepared to step up and it is clear that they do not pretend of be of any help anymore. During times of war and economic collapse, people always take stock of whether or not things are important and realistically, the new 'better class will likely consist of those who prove their ability to participate and CONTRIBUTE in the rebuilding of various economies. 

There is also the fact that if this pandemic EVER ends, there will be a lot of memorials, a lot of funerals held in honor of victims who had to be cremated right away, and it is clear that a lot of people will need psychological help, including nurses and doctors and who knows who else. Then there will be people seeking the realities of the situation and there will be a TON of meetings, conferences, and committees that will be formed and there will be demands for answers as to why so many areas of leadership fell short. No one will be tolerant of royals laughing and joking and then pretending to be serious at various memorials.

Given my understanding of history, royals these days are like the old Southern plantation families, and they will not be able to survive a society that is in fact flipped over. No one is going to be able to go back to the pre-pandemic mindset and life and EVEYRONE will be looking out for themselves or their own families and friends. I also do not think that royals are prepared for a younger generation of politics that will not be patient with royal stupidity or want to listen to Maxima blather about third world economics. There is nothing that the world royalty have left to give. 

I think a lot of people will not want to think of abolishing right away, but they will want the royalty to just stay out of the way of rebuilding and redeveloping a more realistically viable economy. No one will have energy to pay attention to a princess who brags about how she is making huge sacrifices or listen to them whine about missing out on normalcy. NO one will want King Willem to interfere in serious decisions regarding the rebuilding of the economy or much of anything else. No one will want to coo over the latest fashion from a couture house. No one will want to listen to William blather about his family activities. 

The real Achilles heel will be when people fact the cold fact that there isn't much money to go around, and no one will want to tolerate a fancy dinner party disguised as a state banquet and no one will want to see royals being condescending to doctors and nurses and no one will want to put up with Maxima or Leti pretending to be involved in anything like a serious inquiry. People will want actual experts, not Maxima or Mathilde or Letizia pretending to be serious figures on figuring out what on earth went on that not just led up to this, but how everything continued to go wrong and why the public was let down by their elected officials.
