You know, Mable should have been cut out of his life and Friso should have realized that by messing with ANYONE connected to the drug trade, he was putting himself at risk. The lord might have been dead, but he still had people out there who would have likely gone after her and after Friso by association. It make me sick that a prince puts himself at risk like this. Is there a reason that royals are so stupid these days?

They are getting the vaccine people their people are cared for. They are clearly just getting preferential treatment and it is clear that they think they should always be put first and foremost. They will get the vaccine first, they will get their spoiled kids vaccinated, and then they will end up just basically mooching along as they always do. Then their people will get sick/die, and then they will be told so that they might shed a tear and pretend to be upset and it is clear that they will end up being diffident about it at best. Then there will be plenty of complications in getting the vaccine actually effectively distributed and the morons will go on television/social media and then make a silly speech with solemn faces and then sit back in their palaces and indulge while their people continue to suffer from an inept bureaucracy that they did not at all do anything to fix (not that they could do anything with their limited educations and it is clear that at this point in their lives their good schooling is basically forgotten) and will continue to be waited on hand and foot and struggle to actually, really care. Then after a 'long day' of wearing couture and jewels paid for by their people they will go to bed and wake up to another pampered day. Then another useless day will commence.

They will probably queue-jump and get it first, though they may protest that they truly understand what is going on, will wait their turn, blah blah blah. I really think the Dutch RF is the most pretentious and elitist one to date - want to live like Tsars (well, they are descended from them, too). Willem-Alexander has always been a pompous, self-centred blow-hard.

I can't get over the fact that they get hundreds of millions per year, but do not give that to the government to work with and therefore help their people. It just goes into their private accounts and buy more jewels and couture for themselves. Or more jet set vacations, champagne/caviar (with C.A. laying off the caviar) and who knows what else. They do live like the Tsars and for some reason, the people/government let them get away with it. I swear, couture, the jewels, all that in abundance and go figure, they get away with it. Now during a pandemic they are not working to make sure their people have what they need, but instead they jet set, do a silly apologetic commercial, and now are in front line to get vaccinated despite the fact that they are not really 'in need' of it. If I were them, I would chill inside the palace and then wait until everyone had their vaccination.

An older item (2012) about the marriage - I believe they have still not come to terms even now (2021) with how horrific that regime was. 30,000 dead. That will forever haunt them, or should. www.irishtimes.com/news/junta-killing-charge-still-haunts-father-of-princess-1.446193I wonder whenever they are buying more haute couture, jetting off to some private location, and spoiling their children (grandchildren of a man who has never taken responsibility for the disappearance of 30,000 human beings) they ever think about those who will NEVER know about the terror and fear of their loved ones' last moments? I am doubtful...they don't seem the kind to think of anything besides their own welfare and comfort.

tvblik.nl/de-wandeling/alejandra-slutzkyAside: I have always been disturbed by this; how openly a war criminal and accomplice to mass murder could be so openly embraced. But Willem wanted to marry Maxima, and Mama was not going to say no to her heir apparent. Alejandra Slutzky The stroll 27-1-2012| 1248 views | 0 responses Máxima and Willem-Alexander will be married for ten years next week. The Argentinian Alejandra Slutzky has mixed feelings about this. Her father Samuel disappeared under the regime of Videla and she makes Máxima's father, Jorge Zorreguieta, partly responsible for it. Zorreguieta was Minister of Agriculture when Alejandra's father was arrested and never returned home. Alejandra, who has been living in the Netherlands (Apeldoorn) for more than thirty years, has now sued Zorreguieta. She wants Máxima's father to be tried and never to come to the Netherlands again. Alejandra grows up in an idealistic family. Her father Samuel is a great resistance hero in Argentina during the dictatorship. He is a doctor and is active against the oppression of the ordinary population by the military regime. At one point, Slutzky is lifted from his bed in the presence of his wife and children. Alejandra is then fourteen years old. That is the last time Alejandra saw her father. During that time thousands of people disappeared in Argentina. Hundreds are found dead. Thousands have always been missing. After her father disappeared, Alejandra flees to the Netherlands with her stepmother and children. The Netherlands is Alejandra's Valhalla. Finally she can live in freedom and she is no longer afraid of being arrested or afraid to say the wrong thing. Alejandra is building a life in the Netherlands and feels welcome and safe. This sense of security is undermined after it becomes known that Jorge Zorreguieta is the father of the new girlfriend of heir to the throne Prince Willem-Alexander.Since then, Alejandra has been sleeping a lot worse. She cannot believe that the royal family receives him with open arms every time. A person who, along with General Videla, was in power during the Dirty War in Argentina and who helped cause thousands of people, including her father, to disappear. This broadcast of the program The Walk with the title Alejandra Slutzky was broadcast on Friday 27 January by the KRO. The presentation was in the hands of Hella van der Wijst.

Oh, well, thanks for the condescending statement of support. After all, that is what it was done for, to gain their approval and support, not to save millions of lives. Besides, shouldn't the King come first and not the Queen? I mean really, this statement is not needed.
Why would they? Maxima was not raised to do anything for anyone and let's be honest, Willem is not raised or educated or trained for a life of public service. He didn't really do anything like Prince Charles did and it is clear that he never will. At this point in time, I honestly believe that neither will be of any use to their nation and I honestly hope that in this new world we are entering, people start actually paying attention to the fact that not only did their royals failed to help, they welshed out on the nation when the nation was supposed to be able to rely on them.

Does being Queen mean anything to her? She is not someone who should be doing this and if a President did this, he/she would be crucified and rightly so. She has no business whatsoever acting like this and what on earth is this zoom call supposed to accomplish? How about writing hefty checks to an insecure population? Or maybe a trade deal that brings in food in regards to favorable prices? Would be great to be able to get going with the acquisition of decent conditions for medical workers so they can sleep decently and be comfortable instead of sleeping on the floor or on desks? She is a QUEEN, not an entertainer (although it is becoming increasingly difficult to see the differences) and she has no business playing at being so overworked that she needs to literally stretch her feet.

delano.lu/d/detail/news/grand-duchess-alleges-misogyny-role-palace-pruned/213441Aside: It's probably called practical financial management, not misogyny? Come on... Luxembourg’s Grand Duke Henri has no plans to abdicate in the near future, he said in an interview with Paris Match, which also saw the Grand Duchess call attempts to diminish her role in the palace misogynist.
The royal household is undergoing a series of reforms after a report into the workings of the palace pointed to shortcomings in staff management and the separation of the family’s public and private fortunes and activities.
