Aside: For what it's worth, I wouldn't antagonize Andrew. It's not wrong that he suffers his own repercussions, he's had it coming for the longest time, but from what he knows about William (in particular) and how HE has betrayed the Crown, then Charles and/or William cannot afford to be so smug and high-handed and rile Andy too much. I and others know on good account that Andrew knows exactly what is going on behind the scenes. He's only one rotten branch of a very diseased family tree.
Who is next to be culled from the proverbial herd ? Harry already out, and now talk of driving out the Yorkies, and then moving on to Edward and Anne and their children, etc? Drive out any true royal relative for the sake of...well, I think you understand what I'm getting at. Why is the Queen and/or her handlers allowing for the one being that has absolutely destroyed his family's 1000 year old legacy? Yes, believe it or not, Andrew is not even the worst of the lot.

RICHARD KAY: The deal no one dreamed possible was done before Andrew even arrived at the castle - and it bore the imprint of both Charles AND William

At the end, it was just the two of them: Mother and son talking quietly and agreeing a future neither in their worst nightmares would have dreamed possible.
If the extravagantly ornate ticking clock on the mantelpiece of the Queen’s private apartment in Windsor Castle where they met yesterday had wound itself back half a century to when the Queen was consoling the schoolboy Andrew over a grazed knee, say, there would not have been a more intimate moment.
Here was Prince Andrew, the Queen’s favourite, who for the first 22 years of his life had exalted in the pre-eminent status of heir in line to the throne, effectively handing in his badge of office.

The Dukedom should go too. The only thing you can say about the gruesome twosome Andy & Fergs is that, by some miracle, they appear to have produced two relatively well-adjusted daughters. The nanny must have been worth their weight in gold.

Andrew and Sarah should follow Harry and Meghan's path and head out of the UK. Maybe Harry can get them jobs with one of the several companies he now makes money off of, like Netflix.

Stripped of all titles should mean he's just Andrew Windsor, not a Duke!

Having a family member who served with him on the same ship in the Falklands, have not one good word to say about the man, has always been the best judgement of him I've heard.

My understanding from reading interviews over the years is Charles and Andrew are not close and never were. I doubt this was a hard decision for Charles.

The Queen has basically told the US courts that the Royal Family will not underwrite Andrew against any silly compensation claim.

I really feel for the Queen with what she has had to put up with the last couple of years. Harry and Andrew have a lot to answer for.

He gave himself the chance to explain the position and dismally failed. That interview that should never have been released was a colossal mistake.
