Too much of too many bad things in her youth and she is clearly in over her head and can't cope. She is the epitome of a woman who made bad choices and at forty it is hitting her like an iron wall. She can't cope at William's level and William resents having to be a martial caretaker and it is clear that William makes her life a misery. She ruined his social life and he hates her guts and resents her freeloading family that is always hinting for more.

No one believes that Kate is the homemaker type and no one buys any BS about this being a couple in love. With Kate, love is a title and bank account, nothing more. I can say however that I am glad that the Cinderella fairytale is at long last being put to permanent rest.

They get gooey about a title/symbol; Kate is just the physical manifestation of that status. Diana made the same mistake, she thought that she was so grand that after her divorce she would be a player, but go figure, Diana ended up more of a plaything than ever. Kate sees the deference as validation of her bad choices and her choice to accept William's maltreatment.

Deep down, I don't even care about it.
This sham of being a 'normal' couple is clearly more about Kate enjoying a free ride for life along with her using family. This is not normal for a middle upper middle class family and this is not royal normal. What I see is Kate trying to recreate her past as one of privilege and titled affluence and she has spent the past so many years dragging William back from a wider world where he truly fits in. The taxpayer isn't paying normal types to rep them, they are paying royals and it disgusts me that Kate is not paying at all towards anything. She never belonged in his way of life and she proceeded to mooch from the minute she got into his bed.
This 'normalcy' BS is a Trianon and William is the Marie Antoinette of it.
