PRINCE HARRY RUNS UP A $600 BAR BILL; KATE MIDDLETON PLANS A PRIVATE LUNCH WITH THE QUEEN

Prince Harry and his Royal Air Force friends enjoyed a much deserved break this weekend. Twenty pilots, including the prince, spent a night playing “pub golf,” a competitive drinking game where participants swing by 18 “golf holes” (bars). Prince Harry reportedly got in the spirit of things by carrying around a plastic golf club. Best of all, the outing, which ran up a bar bill of over $600 in under one hour, was all in the name of team building, according to Air Force officials. The night out was a rare break for the training pilots, as they can't consume alcohol 12 hours prior to flight. Prince Harry spent the rest of his weekend surfing with friends and enjoying a show by British band Razorlight.August can't come soon enough for Kate Middleton. It seems the patient princess-in-waiting has been invited to a private lunch with the Queen of England when Kate visits the royal summer residence Balmor@l Castle with Prince William during the August Bank holiday. This private meeting with Her Maj would indicate that William's girlfriend is one step closer to being Princess Kate.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan gave Prince Williams's uncle, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, a 21-inch-tall female falcon. The sheikh, who is Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, gifted the bird—the largest of its species—in recognition of the relationship between Britain and the United Arab Emirates. Perhaps it was the exotic bird that inspired Prince “Air Miles” Andrew to take to the skies once again. The Duke of York was criticized for taking a helicopter to fly 146 miles round-trip last Friday.
While Prince Andrew was living like a rock star, Prince Charles was decorating rock legend Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin fame. The aging front man was made Commander of the British Empire, which means he has finally one-upped bandmate Jimmy Page, a mere Officer of the Order of the British Empire since 2005.
