I have to agree with this. William is being beyond petty, even for him and it is clear that William is being so chronically antagonistic that it is clear that neither William or Kate will be actually able to stop going after Harry and Meg. The more they go after Harry and drive him away, the more that Harry turns to Meg and the more Meg gets away with. Isn't it clear that Harry desperately needed a strong woman in order to first just put up with Kate's BS trouble-making and then eventually since no decent type would be able to handle it, he latched onto Meg and as a result, Meg controls all of it. Then Harry and Meg couldn't take any of it and ended up bolting out of that life and even still, William and Kate refuse to stop disrupting any kind of healing process and while Meg contributes, all this trouble started the minute that Kate married in. I do not think that Kate is helping and I think that she's just inherently troublesome and a troublemaker. If not for Kate egging William on into thinking he is more than he actually is, I am quite certain that none of this mess would be happening. KAte is just as much of a drama addict as Meg is accused of being.
Of the 4, Harry is actually the least responsible for this mess. He's contributed, definitely, but still of the 4 probably the best intentioned. He honestly tried, in his way, and yes, has made many mistakes, but has the most honest heart of them. William is a classic toxic bully, IMHO. And yes, Katiekins eggs him on - she HAS to, she hasn't been a free, independent, and honest person for decades. (thanks to Council Carol and how she was raised). Meghan clearly has her own control and anger issues, too, and was never going to be a benefit to this family. Troubled, spoiled people mixing with other troubled, even more spoiled people was just never going to work. We were all presented with the tale PR: the American princess marrying the handsome British prince - how they overcame the barriers and forged ahead presenting a new, modern idea of monarchy. Well, things were a tad different behind the scenes, and nobody wanted to believe the warning signs, or the hints that things just weren't what they seemed, etc. And yes, there was some hate/bad press/harassment, etc, but in all honesty, that all seemed to be coming from the same quarter. Yes,there were the ugly bigots and press types just spouting their usual nonsense, but there was something else behind it all. Who was leaking things to the press? Who was egging THEM on? I think we can guess who. I have to agree. Out of all 4 of them I really do think Harry will come out as the innocent one. All 3 of them have issues...

There is NO WAY that Meg went through that industry and wasn't negatively affected. It's an industry that has always been filled with very messed up people and do not get me started on what women do to get roles. I bet Meg has had more than enough rage from the constant rejection (that eats away at ANYONE) and I bet you anything that Meg has SERIOUS anger issues.

Harry was all they had left and HM hung him out to dry. He was not protected the way he should have been and quite frankly, any normal monarch would have put an immediate stop to the BS that Kate was pulling (grabbing at Harry in 2012, hostile behavior towards girlfriends/potential consorts) and it is clear that after Harry married, Kate really ramped up the PR in a way that had hostile intent towards Meg. Kate NEVER should have gone unpunished and it is clear that Harry was right to get out. There is no way that he would have had a chance at a healthy home life and while Meg was a bad choice, there is no way that any decent type would marry into that situation and subject herself to the mistreatment that Meg was. Kate might have actually thought that Meg would leave, Harry would be heartbroken, and Kate would be free to put her filthy hands on him yet again. IT never at all occurred to the Queen to order Kate be made to back off and so Harry did the only think that an abuse victims does, that is, leave or self destruct. He chose to leave and yet he is still victimized by his brother, his wench sister-in-law, and quite honestly, there is also the reality that the old guard columnists are WAY too invested emotionally and psychologically in Harry's life.

Moved from Royalty "op-eds" thread...
I am so fed up with Team Sussex vs Team Cambridge and essentially everything but the real truth coming out, yet others being blanketed with claims of racism, bullying, and abuse. What was so abusive, again, about living in palaces, renovated to suit your tastes, having expensive clothes, jewels, gifts, and all household expenses paid, and yet didn't have to drop a dime on any of it? To have a $500,000 wedding shower and having your so-called friends take advantage of your new position, too? To be able to have staff at your beck and call? To automatically be given credit and social media access just because of who you are are who you married? To have the finest medical care? To have 24/7 service protection? To have at least several members of your new family invite you over to their homes and offer you a welcome mat of sorts? To try to include you? For any high position, earned or not, there is going to be a lot of detractors, press bullies, and those who didn't want you in that position. Yes, and they are going to give you some grief. That is wrong, but that is part and parcel of what these positions entail. But for all the privileges you enjoyed, there were going to be a few rules. We all have to abide by rules - you can certainly have your own opinions and live your life out happily, but whilst you are acting in a so-called official capacity or being one of it's representatives, you have to respect that and abide by that. Period. Harry knows this - and certainly William does, too. Kate is determined just to be a lazy, useless and failed slod no matter how much a figurative candle is lit behind her bony bottom. She will never change and it's obvious what a failure she turned out to be. I am tired of these cries of victimhood and how a few princes out of many feel the world needs to stop, take note of them, and listen to their litany of complaints and grievances. So you got flak from the DM and the Sun? Boo hoo hoo. So Piers Morgan doesn't like you? Boo hoo hoo. So a few racists or bullies on Twitter or wherever don't like you? Boo hoo hoo again. It's not important - your so-called grievances need to have been taken up privately. With the ones you have the TRUE grievances against. You don't like your job? Change it and shut up. You don't have to manage a household on one income, you don't have to make rent/mortage/car payments, you don't have to deal with unemployment/escalating costs/harassment or abuse in the workplace/true discrimination and poor treatment ANYWHERE, plus unlike most people, you have social media platforms with millions of followers who will listen to and hold onto your last word like it's gospel. How many of us have recourse to call up friends/allies to defend us? For royals, they have things very easy. For the modern name British royals, were any of them called up on charges of tr#ason? Locked up in some fortress for decades? Had their positions taken away from them? Being denied access to their own children for life? Well? What the Sussexes and Cambridges are going through is really not so bad and is actually do to their own making. There are some of us who really get what the real issue or issues are behind the scenes and are tired of the on-going games and childish tit for tat bickering and tantrums being tossed. Be honest, stop your whining, and then just shut up. Not one of you is any less guilty that any of the others - you each have your own part to play. You ALL created this mess in one degree of the other. I bow before your comment! I am angry that girlfriends dating public figure princes actually get upset about press coverage.
OF COURSE the press and public want to find out more, that is what it IS. Kate shrieking about photographers or Meg asking Harry to write a letter telling the press to back off. No one was trying to break into Meg's home and no one was going to not want to find out more about a girlfriend of their prince and potential consort. If they can't hack it, it is clear that they do not at all GET IT that they do not belong in royal life. This isn't about being a semi-public and private figure at the same time and as an actress, Meg theoretically should have been thriving with the attention, not shrieking about feeling intrusion. I mean really, is it really that bad that as a working actress that she is getting more press?
Can't these people, these royals and their girlfriends, STOP pretending that they didn't end up knowing what this would be? They knew there would be scrutiny and if Kate had stayed away from clubs, she wouldn't be photographed at all. Kate and Meg irritated me nonstop with their whining about attention and much of this was overblown.

Bingo!!!!!! It's not that they never knew what they were getting into. Kate and Meghan are actually more alike then they realize. BOTH knew that with all the privileges they would automatically receive, that there would be a lot of criticism and focus on their every little move. It's part and parcel. Another thing is: Are both the Sussexes and Cambridges completely tone deaf as to what people are focussing on? People are tired and worn out completely by this Covid19 and the complete changes to ways of life. Americans are finally getting some relief and starting to get vaccinated...other countries are continuing with their efforts, too. People are so worn out - for whatever energy we have left after coping with our everyday lives...is hearing privileged people whine and complain what we really need to lift us up?

I think after this pandemic, the whole Windsor thing will be looked at as a kind of irritating housewife who has never grown up and continues to pester her husband about the latest social drama despite the fact that her husband is increasingly tired of her idiocy and wants a more sincere or serious spouse who knows how to STOP the narrative and shut down. It's not like anyone has any energy for this anymore even if we were in the best of times. It's like a housewife that refuses to face the fact that the husband can't afford her material wants, but goes out and chooses to continue to max out the credit card. It's not like anyone even WANTS to pay for them anymore.
If a woman dates a prince or a man of any kind of prominence, I am certain that the public will be interested. I get irritated that these women think that the entire planet should flip itself over and treat this relationship like it's 'normal' or that they shouldn't be subject to any kind of scrutiny. Meg and Kate KNEW that there would be attention and I am sick of them being able to sue nonstop/. Either they can handle it or they can't. The press attention isn't the same as Diana since NEITHER are Diana Spencer and never will be. Diana being who she was came at a combination of factors that resulted in her being the most covered woman in the world, of her era and that is not the same with Meg or Kate.
Since William wasn't making anything of himself, it is clear that the press would cover him, but not in anything substantial and the tabloid press is quite frankly the only kind of coverage that the ducal couples attract. They do and bring nothing to the table and it is clear that the tabloid level is all they have left at their ages. It is clear that none of them behave well and it is clear that they have really let their country down. All those resources and access and go figure, they waste it all in clubs and resorts rather than anything resembling a culturally enriching life.

I think a huge reason, if not THE reason, these women got in because the princes were not required to make any kind of effort at all. The BRF really does think that the entire phalanx of decent women in this world will just run at these princes and throw their twenties away and BEG each prince to marry them, as if these young women don't have better ways to make their own way in this world and secure a position of their own. Decent, smart, hardworking young women can (and do) make their own way in the world and clearly prefer that. Meanwhile, Harry and William wasted their twenties in clubs and second rate people and the BRF has the GALL to think that such young women will line up to wait on them, be used sexually, and then after marriage eat the dirt that each prince kicks in their faces. Decent types do NOT exist for this and it is telling that despite their wealth and status, they actually couldn't attract and keep better types. It is obvious that each couple is equal in that they are both addicted to drama and addicted to trouble and addicted to taking shots at each other. William and Harry didn't do anything to recommend themselves to anyone decent and didn't GET IT that young women these days actually prefer to make something of themselves and end up maybe even finding and marrying decent men. It IS clear that both prince were not kept in any kind of track and were not well raised.
