Several DM comments suggested that Meg wanted to reveal things about Kate that Kate didn’t want revealed. Meg felt that it would help others more than the empty words and gurning which seem to be the Cambs trade mark

Whether a fan of Meghan or not she was without doubt the far more articulate of the two duchesses. She was an experienced and confident speech maker where Kate was hopeless. Meghan had a more natural rapport with the public and Kate could see herself pushed in to the background no matter how much ma Midd schemed and plotted.

Yes, you are right romilly - fan or not of Meghan, and she's IMO clearly not suited to be a royal and she's proven that time and time again, did have more attributes than the louche, never concerned about anything but her own comfort zone Katie. She didn't affect a ridiculous posh accent to come across as something she clearly wasn't. At the beginning, at least Meghan tried to relate to the public and thinking somebody got a little sore and jealous. When one thinks attention and appreciation are their due WITHOUT having to give anything in return, they are going to get a little bitter. Maybe if one woman wasn't so comfortable being so spoiled, entitled and lazy and put more energy into contributing, then she wouldn't be such an envious soul. She made her own bed, or rather Mumsy helped ensure her the staff did.

The Potato Head is reaping what she has been sowing for years. The toffs dislike her intensely. Her own ugly husband doesn't even like her. She is a jealous untalented mean woman who has done a lot of bad things.

It was never going to be happy, happy families with Harry taking a backseat to Billy and the Middleton-Cambridges. I for one have my impressions on why he left - but that's for the private forum.

Before Meghan, whenever Willy, The Potato Head and Harry were out in public, The Potato Head was all over Harry. It was so embarrassing. Imagine what the slattern did to him in private. PHEW! I bet he's glad he's far away from that thing.

The basic problem many think was that Kate and others were intensely jealous of Megs and Harry. They were becoming the stars of the Royal Family and undoubtedly outshining dull Willy and nothing going for her Kate. I am sorry they didn’t stay particularly as Kate is way out of her depth in all situations. This jealousy would have been reflected in the behaviour to Megs and Harry who naturally felt undervalued and uncomfortable. The promised book should be interesting.

www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-8446391/Princes-William-Harrys-rift-profound-conflict-heir-spare-generation.htmlA new book by a trusted royal commentator is due out soon. "Biographer Robert Lacey, a historical consultant for Netflix's The Crown as well as the author of Majesty, a 1977 study of Queen Elizabeth, has penned Battle of Brothers: William and Harry - the Friendship and the Feuds, set to be released in October. He told how he was 'astonished' and 'sometimes moved to tears' by the fresh details of the rift that emerged while he was researching the conflict. "

The book sounds a good and accurate read.

I was thinking he's writing this in response to Meghan's tome - to out the record straight perhaps but then I guess it takes a while to get a book written and published so Lacey's has probably been in the pipeline for a while now - just a coincidence?

Thoughts? Any validity to the claims?

news.sky.com/story/prince-harry-hits-back-after-charity-reported-to-watchdog-over-conflicts-of-interest-12032847A spokesperson for Prince Harry said the claims were "salaciously created" and "false". "To this point, it is deeply offensive to today see false claims made about the Duke of Sussex and his charitable work. It is both defamatory and insulting to all the outstanding organisations and people he has partnered with," they said. Advertisement Graham Smith, Republic's chief executive, claimed the Royal Foundation - William and Kate's organisation - gave a £145,000 grant to Sussex Royal and £144,901 to Travalyst, Prince Harry's not-for-profit sustainable travel organisation. www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/prince-harry-and-prince-william-accused-of-misusing-over-300000-in-charity-money.html/Why critics say Prince Harry and Prince William misused over $300,000 With the different charity projects that have been established over the past two years, money has changed hands often. This has led critics to call out Harry and William for allegedly misusing a large sum of money. When Harry and Meghan left the Royal Foundation, they were given money for their new charity projects, as reported by Newsweek. According to Republic, an anti-monarchy group, “the Royal Foundation gave a grant of £145,000 ($183,000) to Sussex Royal and £144,901 ($183,057) to a non-charitable organization (Travalyst).” Graham Smith, chief executive of Republic, pointed out the transfer of money between these entities could be considered a “breach of charity law” since they came about because of the personal relationship between Harry and William. This has led the brothers to be “referred to a charity watchdog,” Newsweek wrote. “Maybe I’m missing something here, but I find it difficult to believe that a charity making an independent and impartial decision would decide to make these payments,” Smith noted. “The Royal Foundation has lost almost £300,000 to Prince Harry’s pet projects. Harry’s own charity is now closing and he appears to be taking the charity’s money with him. I can’t see how that isn’t a breach of charity law.” He also added: “Whatever the legal position this looks unethical and underhand. People donate money to a charity expecting it to be used to fund the charity’s objectives, not to be given away to support a patron’s other projects.”

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8560269/Kate-Middleton-Prince-William-hit-biography-said-shunned-Meghan-Harry.htmlThe Duke and Duchess of Cambridge last night hit back at claims in a bombshell new biography that they actively spurned Meghan Markle. The authors of Finding Freedom claim relations between the Sussexes and Cambridges became so bitter that Kate humiliatingly snubbed her sister-in-law at Meghan's farewell appearance as a senior Royal. But close friends of William and Kate issued a fierce defence, insisting the couple had 'rolled out the red carpet' for Meghan and 'done all they possibly could' to welcome the US actress into the Royal Family. According to the friends, the Cambridges 'welcomed Meghan with open arms' by inviting her to Anmer Hall, their family home in Norfolk, where Kate personally cooked vegan meals for her brother-in-law's then fiance. William and Kate also invited Meghan's friends, bridesmaids and page boys to a party before her wedding to Harry in May 2018, and keen tennis fan Kate asked Meghan to join her in the Royal Box at Wimbledon for two successive years. 'It's just completely wrong to suggest they didn't talk and plain wrong to say the Cambridges weren't welcoming,' a friend told The Mail on Sunday. 'How can you say they weren't warm or welcoming when they hosted Meghan for Christmas, invited her into their totally private inner sanctum at Anmer Hall and did everything they could to make her feel at home? They personally cooked her favourite vegan food, they couldn't have been more welcoming.' In other explosive revelations revealed in the excerpts tonight: Prince Harry was 'p****d off' with 'snob' William as he was warned to take things slow with 'this girl' Meghan; William questioned Meghan's intentions and feared that Duke of Sussex was being 'blindsided by lust'; Palace insiders referred to Meghan as 'Harry's showgirl' and said US actress came with a 'lot of baggage'; High-ranking palace courtier was overheard telling colleague: 'There's something about this girl I don't trust'; Two couples hardly spoke at March Commonwealth service despite not having seen each other since January; The Sussexes felt their complaints were not taken seriously and believed other royal households were leaking stories about them to the press; Being told to operate under Buckingham Palace's umbrella after splitting their household from the Cambridges was 'a big disappointment' to the Sussexes; The Sussexes even considered breaking protocol by springing a surprise visit on the Queen when they believed they were being blocked from seeing the monarch.
