Prince Harry detailed the circumstances that led to Meghan Markle's now-famous fight with Princess Kate in the days leading up to the Sussex wedding. The Duke of Sussex, 38, claimed that his sister-in-law, 40, texted the Suits alum, 41, about a problem with Princess Charlotte's bridesmaids dress shortly before Meghan and Harry's May 2018 wedding, in an excerpt from Spare obtained by Us Weekly. The former actress didn't respond right away, thanks in part to the drama surrounding her father, Thomas Markle, and his possible attendance at the ceremony.

I believe it.
Kate was likely getting dictatorial about a wedding that wasn't hers and it is clear that Meg pushed back, rightly asserting herself. Kate didn't like it and so decided to release a statement that Meg was victimizing her.
Troublesome wench, Kate is. So while Meg was dealing with the new move to a new nation, culture, and a wedding, Kate starts up trouble attempting to dictate Meg's wedding? I swear I believe this mainly since it fits and now Kate was the one playing victim. I don't blame Meg for breaking down and getting upset, she was dealing with enough. I hope this continues to circulate.

Oh, that is why this is for now a "Breaking News" item here on RG. We'll keep it in circulation - can you believe something so non-sensical (at least on the surface) is something that Harry felt he needed to address. Honestly.

BY ALYSSA BAILEYPUBLISHED: JAN 5, 2023 Meghan Markle may have held back on details about the much-sensationalized pre-wedding fight that she and Kate Middleton had over flower girl dresses during her Oprah interview, but Prince Harry is now filling in the blanks. Page Six shared his personal recount of the situation from his forthcoming memoir Spare, which explains exactly why Meghan ended up in tears after having a conversation with Kate just four days before the couple’s wedding.
The dispute was over Kate’s daughter Princess Charlotte’s flower girl dress fitting. The Daily Mail alleged that Harry wrote that Meghan said Kate, who had delivered Prince Louis just one month before the wedding, had “baby brain,” which contributed to what happened.

Aside: The Mulroney girl is just a pretty girl who wore it better. It's really NOT important.
Honestly.

So this was a bratty power play and Sarah Burton likely wanted to muscle in McQueen for the entire wedding. Givenchy is a couture house and is not something that should be treated lightly. Kate and McQueen were insinuating that a couture house did a bad job at creating a dress and that is a slap on the reputation of a high level design house. Second, this isn't Kate's wedding, so Kate has no right to shoot her ugly mouth off to the bride. Third, why would a tiny tot care about a dress? Kids don't focus that obsessively on stuff like this. Kate tried a power play, got McQueen on it, and now Kate has been outed as trouble. No design house should not be pulling something like this, trying to muscle in on an event where the fashions worn by the bridal party is worn by a rival fashion house. This is so out of line and I have rightly been critical of Meg, but this shows that Meg was victimized and the palace would not step up and put Kate on a leash.

Aside: Kate wasn't going to have "her" child sit on the floor. Oh, gosh, that would be SO gauche, right?

In his new book, Spare, Prince Harry has given his first full account of the infamous bridesmaid dress fitting at the heart of 'Megxit', claiming Kate was upset that her daughter's dress was 'too long and too baggy' and that Princess Charlotte 'cried when she tried it on at home'. In his book Revenge last year, royal author Tom Bower claimed sources told him the Princess of Wales and Duchess of Sussex, 40, also disagreed over whether the bridesmaids 'should wear tights' at the wedding. He also claimed Meghan was against it and her 'insistence' was 'supported' by her former BFF and mother of another bridesmaid Jessica Mulroney, adding: 'Some would say that Meghan compared Ivy favourably against Charlotte.'

Kate had no right to disagree about how Meg's wedding would go, or hte dress code. This is trivial because Kate is trivial. It's not like Kate is the one getting married, this isn't Kate's wedding. Kate is obviously and exhausting person to be around, no wonder she has no real friends and no wonder she is matched with William.

So pointless, just like Kate herself. What a loser Kate is. No wonder no decent woman would be courted with Harry. Meg isn't bad, but let's face it, the royals expected the best of the best.
