Royalty Abusing and Overworking Staff

One thing about the Cuban refugees that came West after the Cuban revolution, is that they brought their attitudes with them. Lucille Ball married Desi who was a Cuban refugee and one thing that taints the pretty little Cuban refugee myth is how a lot of them brought bad attitudes. A lot of them became dictatorial with the US Government, they have ordered the US Government to overthrow the Cuban government on a regular basis and they refuse to accept that they might come from wealth, but they have to adapt like every other refugee. Then there is the fact that MT spent so much time in Paris that the Luxembourg government had to publicly order her to return to Luxembourg and go back to her duties as consort.

Many came from the upper class and in the Latin upper classes they are not raised to treat staff well.

I did hear that Maria Theresa also got physically abusive, allegedly slapping a member of staff.  I do bet she loves Stephanie because Stephanie is from an upper class aristocratic Belgian family. Forgive my bitterness, but I am really beginning to dislike certain types of aspirational people. For mistreating staff, MT should have been jailed or at least forcibly confined to her rooms until she started to learn how to treat honest working people. It is a pity since royals of all people should know that the time could come when  they will have to rely on their staff. This is unforgivable.
