It's funny how she is suddenly associating herself with Kate & Meghan, just because she went to the wedding.

'Serena's links to the royals span back years as members of the royal family often attend her matches at Wimbledon with the Duchess of Cambridge a regular in the royal box.' Attending a tennis match that SW featured in does not prove a link to anyone. Those in the Royal Box are invited months beforehand and cannot know who will be playing on a specific day on Centre Court.

I wasnt going to respond but have to, to hinder ignorance - Kate left because the last time she was there a prank was played on one of the nurses by AU radio and a nurse c o m mited su i c i d e. Kate was simply trying not to have history repeat itself. Now, in terms of Serena what she is saying is that she is impressed by Kate for being able to walk and stand up right only a few hours after giving birth. I agree with you Serena - she is impressive.

I was shocked at how much quicker I healed after my second son this last October. I left the hospital just after the 24 hour mark only because we had to stay so they could do the last few tests on the baby. I didn't sleep at all in those 24 hours because the hospital is not a comfortable place to be. Why stay at the hospital with she could be in the comfort of her own home?

People, this is all just a show. Personally, royal babies are as ridicolous as the royal family. The medya goes WAY over the top. All babies deserve special attention. All mother's deserve that kind of suite to give birth in. Everyone wants gender equality? What about social equality, people? Huh??? THIS SHOULDNT BE HAPPENING!!!!!!!

I like Kate, seems to be a caring loving Mum to her kids, very hands-on although she has "staff" to do everything for her. Why she felt it was necessary to leave the hospital on the same day as she gave birth, is a mystery. The private hospital is like a 5 star hotel, (they closed the whole FLOOR for Kate) and all your needs are met yet she rushed home. Hardly to do the housework and washing up!! No doubt she has a night nurse for the baby and assistants who work with the Nanny etc. Very different for the normal Mum shell shocked and exhausted after giving birth.

No! Please don't make a woman's post-partum appearance into something to be held up and celebrated. Please don't make it into something which defines her as a badass or not. I am tired of this "post baby" body race to look good again as something to be held up as a goal or mark of achievement. Some bounce back quickly, others have a hard time - perhaps they were sick before or after delivery, perhaps the delivery was traumatic, perhaps the child was born unwell, perhaps they don't have family support. None of us have a team of hair, makeup & wardrobe/stylist experts as Kate did. Unfortunately her number one job after delivery was to look good in public & wave. That is oddly her job. Provide heirs, look like a lady, smile & wave. It's lovely to feel a bit glam again & have Me time once you've had a child, I am sure we'd all agree, but there are a zillion less superficial things to admire about women & make them a badass. E.g. Michelle Yvonne Simmons, Professor in quantum physics.
