Kate looks like a WAG, She looks like cheap. Kate comes off as someone who married the bosses son but still looks out of her element.

Kate is not as tall as I imagined, Michelle is way taller.

Sorry but Kate comes off looking like a lightweight, she just doesn't have the proper demeanor , she reminds me of Fergie. :whistle:

Finally someone is writing about how scarily thin she has become, even though its the dailymail, at least someone in the press has finally written something, and I don't think they can still say wedding nerves are responsible for her weight, the weddings over, she had to spend 20 mins talking to the Obamas, her life must be so stressful! :ick: :Kate:

It was gracious of everyone involved to squeeze in 10-15 minutes for the Do-Littles. Just a few things. I'm not sure I'm a big fan of the pink bolero on MO, but she's dressed appropriately for the occasion and appeared gracious and patient, (which, I believe was lunch), so the dress is fine and, yes, she's very tall. What I don't understand is the evening clutch of Wasty's at ALL. And does she have to flash that ring at every opportunity (yes, she does, I know). She's messing with her hair again which is, frankly, not well groomed. The surgical bandage dress! Come ON, Wasty! It's not cocktail hour, is it? And, yes, as expected, star struck look which is ridiculous because MO doesn't act like one, so she looked goony doing that and also looked very uncomfortable, to me, as she should. Way over her head here.

Love 'em or hate 'em, the Obamas never act like celebrities or arrogant in any way. I found HM to appear relaxed and just lovely. Lose the outfit/hat, Camilla.

And, thank you for playing our anthem and the regal colors and bagpipes. I love me some bagpipes!!!

That's my 30 seconds of that. Now, we can get on to matters of much more important, like the evening affairs and what everybody's wearing! Oh, yeah, the Summit and all that, too. J/K

PW is at least looking like he has something to say, but he looks like a little kid next to the POTUS, who does a fine job of appearing relaxed and at ease, yet also Presidential. That's one of his best traits.

I honestly don't understand Wasty's look. It always borders on tarty. Blending into the wallpaper is funny, Mousie! lol lol Gotta make that tan look its best 'cause that's what matters!

Did you all see the photo of Michelle O standing outside with PC on one side and PP on the other ? HM and BO were on the left ? The wind blew MO's dress way up ? It looked horrible. I really think she should stick to PANTS (for many reasons). She does NOT know how to dress yet. :screaming:

I saw the photo of the Duke & Duchess with MO and BO too.

Yooper - Yes K looked very thin but MO is not that healthy looking IMO, but a very very VERY large lady who would even dwarf the Duchess even more. But YES, K did look horrendous..MUCH thinner. (MO even seems to dwarf BO LOL). Those bolero/schrugs that MO wears look awful on her.

The BP lavish banquet for 170 Royal family members and dignitaries tonight. HOW are there 170 members ?? :think: :dontknow:

Just worthlessness and a general lack of appreciation for their role; perhaps William wants to keep her sequestered from making a fool of herself at the Court, but at some point she will have to start working again. The fawning of the DM is irritating since it's not like she's doing anything strenuous and they are making it out that she's just nineteen and she is supposed to be dressed in daytime wear, not high street and I wonder if she's being kept on a short financial leash by William and the Court, hence the inexpensive clothes.

If Kate is that thin in a photo, she must be worse in person; she is WAY too thin and she MUST start staying out of the sun. She's going ot be disappearing in the sense of not doing duties and she should have stayed all day and then left only to change for the state banquet, lifting the socialization duties off of HM and Philip and Charles and Camilla. It's what she's paid to do, dress in couture and light jewelry during the day and then during the night, a couture gown and then jewels including a tiara, with a good attitude as an accessory.

If this is William's choice, then he is still keeping her from her dream of being a princess/duchess in a ballroom.

^^^^Wherever you are up there, Alexandrine, yes, Hillary attends official state functions, but her real duties are comin' up, so I was a tad surprised, but not overly so. I'm impressed she's kept a low profile during this leg. It's gonna be roll up your sleeves time pretty soon and I hope the meeting with the PM goes well. A lot hinges on this trip. Wasty and PW were like, oh yeah, here's our new dogs, wanna pet them? Then out the door. Completely useless and waste of time.

I'm beginning to think Kate has a serious eating issue, the girl is all bones, I looked at the photos again in the DailyMail and she looks emaciated. What is going on with her?

What's with Kate standing in front of the First Lady and President of the United States and constantly "flicking her hair? Is Kate the same age as "Willow Smith" mentally "I wave my hair back and forth..." song....the kids sing.....WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG With Kate, why can't she get it together on these outings and act like an ADULT with some intelligence and STOP Flicking her hair. :- It's embarrassing imo, because she's a few months from 30 and she walks around acting like she's still 16. Also the Press keeps excusing this crap, she needs to be told to stop acting like she's preening for boys ar University flicking her hair, or posing for a shampoo commercial and act like a Royal Duchess representing the Palace. :unsure:

I think there are future emotional problems coming with her(I wouldn't be suprised if Pr.William has already hid some things about KATE from the Palace, like a EATING DISORDER or Weight-image issues.) :unsure:

Alexandrine - Thankyou for that large pic of KM & MO. Are either one even wearing stockings ?? It appears they are not (unclassy) and furthermore
Kate's TAN (brown on her legs and orange on her arms and face ? WHY ??) looks so OUTDATED. Tans are NOT healthy or in anymore.

Yooper - Forgive me but I still think MO looks best in pants. She is very large and those gaudy church-lady flor@ls and circular skirts are not flattering on big women. (they only empahasize MO's huge hips , stomach and rear). But I must agree MO is charismatic and very intelligent YES !!

Fernanda Nunas - IMO Michelle's choice of clothing is horrendous. Michelle has had MANY outfits that look ridiculous, especially when she wore the huge bow to a somber cemetary event in France. She has little taste. However, POTUS always looks dashing and professional.

Michelle and Barack have been married almost 19 years - not 15 BTW.

I just saw a procession (the royal banquet ?) and MO has a long white sleeveless gown with long white gloves. Not bad.

I thought Camilla (sitting at the banquet table at POTUS' right) looked nice with that huge tiara.

On that huge photo Alexandrine posted, K's face looks even older, if possible. She needs to eat !!

The threads are always flyin' around, Lanvin, or at least are, to me.

The non-stockings don't bother me. That's kind of over, isn't it? I never wear 'em anymore unless it's frickin' freezing and I'm visiting BFMichigan.

The white dress is the one I sent you. It's lovely and I do agree, a woman of her size shouldn't wear a large billowy skirt, but when you look closer, I think it looks ok - passable anyway, but not her best look, for certain. She's had her mishaps, but, on the whole, I'd kill for her arms. And man is she one smart lady and it's so nice to see them together. I'm no big Obama supporter, but it was an eye opener for me to see the obvious kinship they have compared to the icy indifference between the D/D. And an exemplary role model for young women, which is what realllllly matters in women, fashion aside. Wasty's living proof. Do we want women of substance and example setters or fake fashionistas ooogling at the cameras and accomplishing nothing. We need to be nicer and more supportive of women with defined and productive goals who are leaders in the right direction.

I wasn't sure if it was 15 years; I just remember their anniversary dinner which was sweet - never paid much attention anymore than I know how long the Clintons have been married. I don't figure in divorce with the POTUS, so maybe that's the difference, when we don't see "President divorces after *blank* years of marriage". Not sure. And I'm glad we don't. Who was the last Prez to divorce while in office? I gotta look that up, if it ever happened at all. Hmmm.

This is not directed at anyone in particular, but I detest the notion of blaming others for the shortcomings and failings of William, in particular. bignono I can't help but think that the admiration and sadness some feel for Diana gets unduly transferred to William, which has caused this problem in the first place. Excuses for poor choices, which should have been checked a long time ago, are only worsening a toxic situation, IMO.

What about responsibility for oneself and one's actions? :-

Well June I agree but at the same time in this case I think that Charles may have some responsibility. We already know he is no saint. He didn't like it when Diana stole the limelight, so taking that into account I would say that he wouldn't like it either if William and Kate got all the press attention.

Hihi waaay of topic but: LP I did all that in Boston! (except for the swanboats they were pretty but we just had a look we didn't ride them.)
Even got a Tshirt from the redsocks and one from the celtics!
It was cool, the only thing I didn't like was the crabcakes at the faneuil hall, but I loved the oysters and lobster we had later.
and old 'ironsides' was soo beautiful, as was the boat guide (njam, I love guy's in a navy uniform!)

but back to topic, I think the Camebrige's could do more, even in the background there are many things to help the firm and the taxpayers whom they own their lifestyle to!

Oh, I accept that he was jealous of Diana, but that was quite different. He's older now and people mellow with age, trust me.

I see no evidence that he's jealous of his son, nor have I ever. Kate will generate headlines regardless of what she does, or does not do, as is her case.

I just see these two relationships as entirely different, and I don't like to necessarily assume a person will act the same way all the time, and toward any and all with whom he is close.

If anything, Charles would know that he will cop a lot of negative press if William is kept in the shadows; it happens now. But PC has admitted that William is lazy, and to be honest, I think that is his main concern. His son and heir, future King, is lazy and married to an equally lazy woman. That must be disappointing for him. Say what you want about Charles, he's a hard worker and a highly motivated individual, who understands what is required of his role. Does William? :June:

William is a grown man and it is wrong that his elderly reletives have to do all the work because William is too lazy to do anything.

He's lazy and selfish, from all behavior so far. Unless it involves something HE wants to do, he won't do it. They must have their hands full with this.

Just catching up and I agree that something is not standing quite right here. I can't recall PW ever attending a state banquet and yet that's what the family business is all about. I don't really buy they would outshine everyone either although it had crossed my mind they were limiting their appearances but this state banquet is carefully media controlled so they could have not issued any pictures or footage.

Surely this would have been the perfect intro for a new Duchess to meet some seriously heavweight political figures and a sprinkling of stars to boot. Waity must really have been fuming at missing this but I don't think PW wants to and he just wants to kick footballs around in the park like anyone can. He has problems. He and she will have problems. Then we'll all have problems. I really don't think this is to do with Charles' ego. It could be that after the photographer fiasco on the wedding day they are keeping her away from anything important.

Looking at the pictures from the 15 minute meet Kate looks forced and akward and ill-at-ease in the presence of Michelle (I love her).

Surely, just surely she felt ill at ease as she's had everything handed to her on a plate, achieved nothing and is a mockery of everything a modern woman could ever be.

No wonder she's all skin and bones and messing with her hair. All she has is good hair and can wear a dress. Disgraceful, utterly disgraceful. This girl is so out of her depth it's difficult to know where to start.
