You think those friends might be ppl from, oh I don't know, Hello mag so they could write another 'insider leaked' exclusive maybe?
But the designer wanting to protect her work insisted on coming along with the dress putting Carol in a bit of a tight spot no?
Because.. well the designer wouldn't have allowed the 'friends' to take pic's of her creation,now would she!
And thus Carol pulled out saying that the designer was unaccommodating!

That, is what I think happened here!

Now the question is, what will she wear and will HM approve of her chose, they have to check it with her first so....

You know...
I never heard stories like this about any of the other in-laws!
Heck I don't even know what their names are in most cases! (Do you, off the hat, know the name of Sofie Wessex' mum? Or do you know if Autum has siblings?)

idk about autumn. but off the top of my head, Sophie's mother passed away some time ago. The Queen is very friendly with sophie's father and even invites him to stay with the RF at Sandringham & Balmor@l during holidays. This will NEVER happen with the Middletons.
Carole is soon going to realise how stupid it is to play diva, the media is already starting to turn on them after so many years of building them up as the perfect family. its called Karma

Diana was nothing if not gracious to designers, always welcoming them in through the front of the door, not the side or back. Each time Carole does soemthing like this, Kate will get it in the neck and see if she doesn't! All the courtiers will smoothly mention it at a cocktail gathering and sneer in Kate's face as they do, plus their choice commentary about their view of such behavior.

I believe this story - of Mamma Middleton's haughty behaviour - like she's the one getting married. The one thing about the story, that I do find hard to believe, is the bit about her wanting to show her "friends" - I can't believe she has any - like Mother like Daughter. It feels to me that the Middletons never existed - before Kate set about catching William. All those years of working at BA - and I can't recall anyone coming forward to talk about them? Sure this will change after 29th April - Good!

There's been no-one to say they are total shysters and equally no-one to say they are the best of the best. Suspect the newspapers are sitting on stories waiting to release them. Watch it all happen it will be like November 5th on speed.

Well i believe that they will try to her out, but she will not let them.. i believe that will be her daughter to put her out... incredible but, it's the girl that she put above the horse that will desmisse her... but will carole put her daughter on floor again? Let's wait and see! because i just want to know if she will do that, because carole will not stand be put in a smal place

I agree that more and more ant-Carole stories are being leaked as the wedding approaches and I suspect that these are emanating from somewhere in the region of SW1A!! I also think that they are the tip of a Middleton ice-berg. Who knows what stories are locked in the safes of various newspapers? Once the wedding is over, there could be all sorts of ex-colleagues, neighbours, acquaitances, etc creeping out of the woodwork to sell their own stories of the Middletons. The vultures are circling!

I think Carole did indeed want to show her dress off to "friends" (i.e.: people in her neighborhood who were invited to her house for the first time so she could show off how "important" she is, or the so called "new friends" of the Middletrash who are aristo's who only would come to her house to pity her or make fun of her scheming when she is out of earshot). I think she canceled no only because she is a self entitled b*tch, but because she didn't get the chance to brag and that pissed her off, so she threw a fit and canceled at the last minute.

Honestly if she continues to treat respected and established designers this way, it won't matter if her daughter was Queen tomorrow, the actual fashion houses won't give her a second glance. And rightfully so!

I have a different perception of this entire story. First of all, what woman would create problems for herself in wearing the perfect dress? If it had been the perfect dress, Carole would have done whatever the seamstress/designer wanted regarding the dress, whether it be picking up the dress herself and returning it or having one of Carole's employees pick up the dress. I think what really happened is that after contracting to have this dress made, Carole saw another dress she liked better. She then wanted to have the first dress delivered to her house so her family could help her decide between the two dresses. When the designer didn't give Carole exactly what she wanted, Carole figured that she liked the second dress better anyway, and tried to cancel the first dress, if she could to cut her $ losses. When Carole found out that the 1st designer was going to hold her to the contract and pay for the entire dress, Carole decided to pay for the 1st dress and wear it for another occasion. What do you think?

Liza, if Carole were so concerned, she should have been more involved and left more specific instructions and worked WITH the designer on the dress and dealt with any issues a lot sooner than just a little over a week before the big day. She should have looked harder and around and THEN picked the dress she wanted instead of leaving a designer in the lurch at the last minute, after the designer put together a quite perfect dress. These specially designed dresses are not just thrown together, but designers spend painstaking hours going over every little stitch to ensure perfection.

I agree Liza, as I stated in my previous post, Carole doesn't appear to know the rules of high society. I think you're right in that Carole quite possibly chose a designer thinking she didn't have to make a firm commitment if something better came along. I don't think Carole or Kate have an original or positively creative bone in their bodies! Thus it's possible that when a design Carole hadn't thought of appeared, she chose to make a scene and create some negative drama so that she could change her mind and have it appear as though the designer was somehow at fault. Too bad for her that people in high places won't put up with such crap & actually have the courage to speak out about the aberrant behaviors the wannabes of high society display. ...

And it's no wonder the wedding dress designer is still a secret. Kate probably had 3 dresses commissioned from 3 different designers, making then compete with each other for the Westminster show. Kate's also very indecisive and noncommital so it wouldn't surprise me if she did something along those lines. ...

She'll look like crap no matter what designer she chooses. These designers aren't magicians... :laugh:

Anyway, I remember Royal Reporter, James Whitaker, saying he thought Kate's family would be a problem for The British Royal Family. They're barely in, and it's already starting. She seems so cold in the eyes as well. No matter how hard she smiles, you can't fake the look in her eyes.

I'm not for one moment saying that all Mums should do that - but Kate is now public property and her family reflect on her. IMO she flogged her daughter to the royal family. One rule of high society, is that you don't mistreat those who work for you. The higher up you go, the better you're supposed to treat your 'underlings,' and take initiative and then show what you want through example. Aristos usually tell staff how they want things done and demonstrate it accordingly and with KINDNESS. Considering the work put into couture pieces, this is a slap in the face to all those hours that had a piece painstakingly put together.
