Just like Kate. This is so stupid, these designers go to a tremendous amount of trouble to put these things together and now she suddenly switches; such a flake. I am also surprised that so many defend the decision at this late point and if Carole wants something nice, she's going to have ot buy it off the rack since putting together a couture outfit will be well nigh impossible.

This family has no bounds when it comes to manipulating. They're too self centered and selfish to consider how their actions affect others. However, such will be to their detriment eventually. I cannot wait until the day a couture designer leaks that they turned Carole away, due to her unprofessional behavior and lack of integrity!

Wow... it's a wonder any designers will actually work with her. What it sounds like to me is that the Middleton B**ches go around to whatever designers they want and "commission" outfits/accessories, meanwhile making them all think they are the ones they want, and then wait till it's done to cancel their orders. Obviously this nouveau riche family thinks they are above any sociotal conventions, and do not know that you first ask for sketches and then get the design commissioned. NOT going behind everyone's back and getting these various dresses made (it's not just about the money) only to cancel after all the work is already done. :thumbsdown:

This behaviour has passed down the matriarchal line. It's exactly the same behaviour Channel 4's Meet the Middletons revealed with Dorothy Harrison. First a flat then another house then another - whatever she wanted she got and her husband worked himself senseless to give it her. Then there's the Regal Silver Cross pram exactly the same as Prince Charles.

I wonder if a certain Middleton have been going around to multiple designers and getting discounts on the understanding that she will wear that designer's outfit to the wedding? Celebrities get free gowns for big awards shows, but I wonder if she's now getting called out for making promises to many designers. We saw all these article saying it was this or that designer, and now it's a host of outfits made for her to choose from at the last minute. But the articles also say HM must be notified about the outfit so I don't think she'd put that last minute risk of same color dress on HM.
I think she's had her hat designer and outfit for some time now and these stories are people who were promised wedding exposure. It seems like she was just grasping for an excuse not to wear this woman's hat design and the outfit that went with it ("unaccommodating" because she didn't want the design leaked).
We've heard of Philip Treacy, Jess Collett and Vivien Sheriff for hats and several shoe designers. For dresses, we've seen them at Oldfield and Temperly, and heard of Lindka Cierach and a designer boutique, Moda Rosa. Any others?
