Break their back, OZ. And you should.
However, I still think that Wasty will get away with murder and no one will stop her. Why, I do not know, but she will. The only thing that stops a demonic spirit like that is a republic/democracy.

No, Yooper, you cannot lose that unbreakable faith you had! :help:
Don't worry, I'm looking forward to the day when we become a republic. I'm going to have a "Bugger-off Waity and Sucked in Wills" party on that day. :tehe: lols

"Take it easy" from doing what, may I ask? I swear, William continues to disappoint and disappoint at every turn. How can anyone think that's right? So, when this rumor came out a few months ago, it WAS true?
That's a total of about 12 years that Kate has done NOTHING! It's flat disgusting. If they really want to play the Diana card, then they should be working just as much, if not more, than The Princess Of Wales.
How can The Queen approve of this?

Ok, June, I'll keep my head bowed to Mr. Thomas Jefferson. I promise. They don't win. Not in the end.
My signature isn't there for entertainment.

My own personal view is that few can handle that level of pressure; the problem comes from my view is taht when she had chances to find a way to channel that pressure, she didn't take them and do what she could to take care of herself and avoid the press. If she were losing this weigth and would need time off from the chaos, I would understand, but Kate looks not just thin/boney, but increasingly manic as well. She's hanging by a mental thread and she won't be able to healthily sustain the soft owrk she will be doing.

June's right! What kind of Americans are we? We stood muzzle to muzzle for a while and then?
Does no one remember? Does no one remember the outrage, the grouping of the lowest, highest, and middlest of people who gathered to beat the British back to f'ing England? I know it's more complicated than that, but, we, in the end, won a Republic, a Democracy that millions of people in the United States walk up to and bow before, even kiss. We have the French to thank for a great deal and without them, we'd probably be sucking it up to Wills/Kate, but we're not. I, for one, am a grateful American. I seriously bitch about my government, but also am grateful that I CAN. And I can get rid, through enormous conversation and demonstration, find out who's strongest and accept it by VOTE.
I love my country. I'd die for my country's beliefs. I really would. There's nothing like it.

Nowhere in the article doe it say the Queen has approved this. So the Queen may well say " Tough you don't always get what you want "

Yooper: that comment resonates very loudly with me now! :there:
Here is something to cheer you all up. I think it's the best quote regarding William's blackmail request"
"Please pay for my lifestyle, my wedding, my security, my gilded carriage, my privilege and my family forever but kindly leave us alone so my commoner wife can get used to the luxury".
Forget it, mate.

He's stretching the goodwill just a little too far, methinks. Now that he's got Kate on board the taxpayers' generous trough, he really needs to understand a few realities. On his own, he was able to get away with it, but not now, with Waity on the payroll. Did he really think that it would be that easy to hoodwink people? :KEZZA:
Oh, and the emotional blackmail regarding his grandmother is just off. Different people, different era, different economic times, different expectations, different circumstances, Dumbo. :June:
I've made a mental note to myself not to be taken in by Wills' superficial charm. I really find him repugnant now that his true colours are showing.

Timed out: and, if he needs that much help and propping up to keep his marriage glued together, then has it ever dawned on the idiot that perhaps he's marrying the wrong woman?
Wow, we wouldn't want to rock the love boat of the century, now, would we? :June:
I said this same thing to a relative once when she started banning all contact from family so that she could have "private time" with her husband on the week-ends. Less than 1 year later, they were separated and finally got divorced not long after.

June: I so wish that William had been sent to Oz and your country could have found him an honest, straightforward, decent Aussie girl for a bride. But, there again, perhaps they wouldn't have wanted him...so we get lumbered with La Middleton. A can of Fosters that she's up the duff by Christmas!!

What a ridiculous idea. HM and PC aren’t getting any younger. God forbid, but they could suffer ill health at any time, and Wills would have to step in. This constant bringing up his mum to justify his royal duties is really getting low. And now he’s bringing in his grandmother to the mix. Everything’s different now. People don’t have the same reverence for royalty that they did in the past. Now, the public will call you out if they feel you’re not pulling your weight. And no that lazy, demented, imo, Waity’s going to be on the public dole swanning around doing her usual, nothing? This smacks too much of Marie Antoinette, Wallis Siimpson and Edward all rolled into one. Thing’s are not going to go smoothly for the BRF after April 29th at all. This is really going to get the British tax payer’s back up.

Timed out.
HM had the good sense to marry someone who could stand on his own two feet, would support HM and not be a burden to her or the nation and wouldn't embarrass himself whilst in public.
I guess we’ve all come to the conclusion that he’s been using Waity to skirt out of his duties. Silly boy, he’s got much bigger problems controlling Waity and her odious family. He’ll be more in the news because of their stupidity and greed than he ever was before. :hiss:

It's certainly got this British taxpayer's back up! As far as I'm concerned, her royal duties begin on 29 April when she walks down the aisle as William's bride and the Duchess of Whatever. No excuses whatsoever. She wants the privileges of being a royal, she can ruddy well earn them!

He's going to go right back to Angsley , get her pregnant and the two will make excuses of why they can't do a lot of Royal outings, imo HE will use work as an excuse, Kate will use fragile pregnancy and being thin or something. These two are slackers, nothing will change unless the Queen has a stern talk to them both.
After baby comes I think Kate will not be seen in that Anglsey cottage for weeks at a time, William will wonder where the old Catherine went. She'll be enjoying London city life with her sis and Aristo pals. :tehe:

Yes, during the engagement interview he said he'd maybe consider children, but would think about that after the wedding. She'll want to consolidate her position asap by producing an heir, but I imagine he'll be cautious about starting a family because he's waiting to see how their marriage pans out.
If he gets his way in this matter, then no way will the press or HM will let her parade around London shopping for 2 bloody years - she will be expected to work her bony arse off.

Spitfire: thank goodness for some unsuspecting, young Aussie lass, he didn't. :
:
She should be starting her 'royal duties' on 29 April (well, after the honeymoon), but it's a word gone mad right now. :sigh:
Serenegrace: I agree, it's shaping up that way. This appears to be his plan: to get Kate preggars as soon as possible and that way she won't have to do royal duties. I feel that he knows she's not up to scratch but he was going to do whatever he liked regardless. He'll just keep bulldozing his way through life, trampling on others in order to get what he wants IMO - elevating the Midds in the process. I just don't think he cares, honestly.
I think Kate will be spending a lot of time with her parents, and that is how William will cope, IMO.
Though: as Princess Alucard stated, if he's smart, he'll wait to see how she copes FIRST. This woman always seems to want the cart before the horse.
