Kate, 29, was preened and prodded at the boutique Retreat beauty salon, where she is believed to have had the Oxygen Therapy facial to make her skin “glow” on her big day.
The princess-to-be, who has admitted feeling jittery, spent an hour with sister and chief bridesmaid Pippa, 27, at the salon in Newbury, Berkshire, a 20-minute drive from their parents’ home in Bucklebury.
They would have enjoyed the benefits of Crystal Clear Oxygen Therapy, described as “the most advanced method of replacing lost moisture”. The exclusive treatment promises to leave complexions “soft”, “glowing”, “plump” and “radiant” – perfect for when the world’s eyes are on you.
- the life of a WAG...methinks facial is not going to help much...
OT: Autumn and Peter Philips's baby was baptized today...

OXYGEN THERAPY will DO ZILCH for a woman whose skin is totally ravaged by drinking, sunning, smoking for SO many YEARS !
KUGLY, your skin will NEVER 'glow'. Just cake your 5 inches of PANCAKE all over your face for your big day. And LINE the beedy eyes with LOTS of black liner.
BTW. WHO "inspects" KUGLY before she walks down the aisle ?? DOES ANYONE ? Pippa ?(LOL) Nerves certainly will force KUG to severely OVERDO the cakey makeup and liner right ?

Lanvin's right, and I've seen it all in the 'salon' venue. Oxygen therapy is a total rip off and does nothing. Except provide oxygen which is, you know, EVERYWHERE.
What this tells me is that somebody has an inferiority complex about their appearance. And somebody else is reaping the benefit.

Infusing the skin with oxygen on the skin is dangerous - it will actually age you - because it induces free-radicals.
Think: anti-oxidants - that is what your skin needs. We strive to reduce the negative effects of free-radicals with anti-oxidants, so infusing the skin with oxygen defies logic.
So, yes, Yooper it is a 'total rip off and does nothing'. Thankfully, it 'does nothing', otherwise, it would be harming your skin. But it cannot work as claimed, which is fortunate, and probably only has a marginal, negative effect, depending upon how effectively it is administered.
Just goes to show how dumb Waity is. If she wants her skin to glow, she should be having peels of some sort. Better still, she should have been using SUNSCREEN, BHA/AHA and retinol for months. This is the secret to my youthful complexion.
:flirt:
If you don't do it yourself, try it and let me know how good your skin looks.

I hope she enjoys it, since royal life will be rigorous and it's something that isn't easy on the body.
As for the oxygen treatment being a rip off, well, she is addicted to all sorts of trendy and expensive things so I really can't be usrprised by this; look at her wardrobe!!!!
Secondly, if she wants this glow, she should do it the day BEFORE the wedding, not four.

No, it's what you do to the skin day-in, day-out which counts, not last minute treatments. :lips:
By then, it's too late. :tehe:

June is absolutely right and I take great care of my skin and live in 'youth-driven' land, so I'm something of an expert.
Infusions of oxygen is a rip off and I was careless saying that. It is quite dangerous, EXPENSIVE, and useless, or, more importantly, damaging. GAWD. Wasty's stupid and gullible.
The only proven anti-aging regimen is this:
Stay the F out of the sun.
Get a peel on occasion, but make it natural, like orange or something.
Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.
Retinol is a great idea, but they have many other options now. Ask your dermotologist, which Wasty doesn't seem to have.
Eat avocado. Trust me.
Stay 10 lbs ABOVE your weight.
Get a real, deep-cleansing facial once a month. I have one that involves a foot rub and blackberries on my face. No clue if it works, but I shine when I get home.
Use sunscreen every day 15+ or more. Use sunscreen 15+ or more. AGAIN. Use sunscreen 15+ or more. In fact, check your foundation. If it isn't 15+ or more, tell them no. My foundation is.
Never mind. Here's my regimen:
Face wash twice a day, DermaDoctor Revenge I or II, and wipe clean with wash cloth
Apply makeup with makeup brush, not a sponge, not your fingers (waste).
Foundation is Sensai Cellular Performance. I cannot sell this stuff highly enough. One jar lasts me 6 months and everyone says, "WHAT do you do with your skin?"
It's also 15 SPF. You will have trouble finding it in the US, but I think Bloomingdale's has it. I get it in Paris. My first f'ing visit.
Spray tan your face lightly. Just a bit. Any of the spray ones work. It's cool if you're super-gloss white like I.
The rest? Bullsh#t. Blush is blush. Mascara the same. Ditto with lipstick/gloss. THE most important thing is moisturizer/cleanser/foundation. Don't scrimp. The rest is at CVS, WalMart, WhereEver.

^ You take the same approach as me regarding sunscreen and where to spend one's bucks. :worship:
I'm so pale, I glow in the dark. :tehe:
Anyway, when I get a little older, I'll ask about an alternative to retinol - thanks for the tip. :thankyou: Right now, the retinol I use is ok for my uber sensitive skin. I need to use BHA daily to prevent breakouts from all the thick sunscreen I use daily.
I lost a lot of weight a few years back from thyroid malfunction and boy did I look older!
The woman who has really taught me a great deal about skin is Paula Begoun, the famed "Cosmetics Cop". This woman has saved both my wallet and my skin - though I already knew about the sunscreen routine.
Kate is utterly clueless - but that shows in her awful skin.

Paula's good on some things, mostly how much we waste on lipstick and mascara and lipstick, but cleansing/face care, and the new products for anti-aging, I'm not so sure. I highly recommend calling SK Sanctuary in La Jolla. They REALLY know what's the latest. No need to mention my name, which you don't know anyway, but they know IT. In fact, when my husband was dying of melanoma they treated him with massages and heat treatments, free of charge. Nice people. VERY expensive, tho.
Great candles, btw. And waaaaaaaay better than whatever WK's serving 4/29. sk#nk.
