Which is why the Midds have got to STOP pushing all the time; there was no chance that a Duke or Earl or son of either would have Pippa as a wife and that is why no major heiress or titled ANYTHING is going to actually seriously date and marry James. There is no chance of that and never was. It's not like there was ever any chance and Kate marrying William, I mark that down to bad decisions on William's part in regards to refusing to work and also at the same time, a total fluke. Kate was just filling a void and despite not being able to live up to the hype, she will never, never be able to be anything more in William's life other than filler. Kate was willing to do stuff William didn't dare think of asking any decent woman to do and Kate was willing to put up with being strung along for years and mistreated. I honestly think that if Kate had been refusing to do all that stuff (stuff I am not interested in hearing about) she would have lost William. Pippa thought that with the right PR campaign, she would land George Percy and didn't realize that Percy had things he wanted to do with his life other than be Pippa's 'social security' or meal ticket. There is no way that Pippa would be content to stay at the family estate and help the Duchess run things, she would be maxing out the family fortune on couture and jet setting and using private jets while jet setting. That would bankrupt the family and just piss off the family and people of that duchy. She would literally wreck what she is trying to attach herself to. Thankfully, the only thing that Pippa got from the Percy family was a lawsuit and who knows what other threats.

At least most if not all of the aristocracy saw Carole for what she was ie a determined and utterly ruthless social climber who discarded her working class family her relentless climb to ensure the naive Willy.
There was so much vitriol against Carole that Willy allegedly begged QE to give her a ride in her Land Rover at Balmor@l to show support. It’s known that QE is very weak so she agreed just to appease him.
It all backfired however as it was obvious what had happened and only made things worse. It’s about time Carole learned to keep herself out of the papers as she continually puts the public's backs up. No more than ever now too when the country is in crisis and people are campaigning not to have their £20 tax credit taken away.
The Midds and Kate etc swanning around in designer gear, offering silly platitudes whilst still getting the best of everything and not doing without a thing isn’t going down well at all right now. Charlotte in £250 designer boots whilst many are starving really rubbed salt in to the wound too.

Party Pieces is a failing business. Even at its most successful it couldn't have produced enough profit to support their lifestyle. 25 years ago they were living in a semi with a mortgage then suddenly they had millions to spend.

Things haven't been going well: Carole has had to give an interview to a woman's magazine to get some publicity, they've laid off staff, and they sold the London flat. The Middleton's alligned their 3 children who have not had discernibly successful careers to working people with money.

Ironically since Kate is the most actual British senior Royal anyway unlike the rest of the Germans just make her Queen and fire the entire Firm palace staff and have the Middleton's run it like a business to get all office duties accomplished with a new diverse staff based on business resume success rather than the good ole boy politics. This should be able to use 1/10th the taxpayer money. Plus atleast half of the palace, estate, and mansion space should be used to house the hundreds of UK charities they support for free instead of the charities having to pay the overhead. Half of them don't need a giant mansion / palace each if they are all such a great wonderful gets along family except Harry they can all live with William at Kensington Palace or bunk up the others. Use Buckingham and others for regular UK government offices instead of wasting tax money with expensive London offices. Other local government officials to move to local royal estates.
