Interesting to note that Kate "studied" German, yet when spoken to by Angela Merkel, had to apologise that she couldn't speak German!

www.nickiswift.com/140270/the-real-reason-kate-middletons-family-has-never-been-invited-to-the-queens-christmas/An item about her shifty, tawdry family. Well, I think they are. And sorry, S'mores boy, I only give respect to decent folk who deserve it. Just like sister Pippa, James has a reputation as a partier. The pair even share similar scandals. During their time at Edinburgh University, both Pippa and James were members of the "Star Fishes," a hockey team that "spent as much time drinking as playing hockey," according to GQ. This hard-partying lifestyle was apparently too much for him to handle at his 21st birthday party, which he held at Raffles nightclub in 2008. After rounds of shots, the businessman was snapped urinating in the street (just like good ol' Uncle Goldsmith), and was reportedly so drunk he had to be carried to the car. According to GQ, Kate "stayed at the club an extra half an hour" just so she wouldn't be seen next to him. Talk about embarrassment! This is far from James' only controversy. He scored more tabloid headlines in 2008 when photos surfaced of him wearing a French maid's outfit with fishnets and lipstick. In a separate incident, photos were found of him wearing one of Kate's polka-dot dresses. If borrowing Kate's clothes wasn't bad enough, scandalous, semi-nude photos of the businessman surfaced years later. According to E! News, one even showed him blow-drying his genitals, though he was wearing underwear. Given his apparent propensity to don silly costumes and drink copious amounts of alcohol, the royal family may just want to keep him far away from the palace. Some true oldie but goodies... www.thestar.com/news/world/royals/2011/04/25/kate_middleton_related_to_a_king_a_talkshow_host_and_uncle_gary.htmlKate Middleton: related to a king, a talk-show host, and Uncle GaryKD By Katie DaubsStaff Reporter Mon., April 25, 2011timer5 min. read Much has been made of Kate Middleton’s pedigree: the coal in her veins, the Ellen DeGeneres connection, the tattooed uncle. Any woman who marries a royal will have her family tree scoured for signs of weakness, intrigue and significance. As soon as Middleton emerged as a serious girlfriend, U.S. genealogist William Addams Reitwiesner began digging through the documents. Reitwiesner, who has published genealogies on U.S. political figures, royals and noted Europeans, amassed thousands of British records and plotted out the family lines with a colleague, but died a few weeks before the engagement was announced. Along with discovering — no surprises here — a working middle class background, Reitwiesner found that Ellen DeGeneres and Middleton, along with Prince William himself, share a common ancestral couple: Sir Thomas Fairfax and Agnes Gascoigne. That makes them all 14th cousins. “You will have millions of 14th cousins,” said Christopher Child, a genealogist with New England Historic Genealogical Society, who edited Reitwiesner’s account. ******Thousands, perhaps, but millions?? Seems a tad off, but then again, no expert. lol

www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-1331447/Kate-Middletons-socially-mobile-family-refuse-kept-down.htmlOur leaders seem hell-bent on crushing social mobility. Thank God the Middletons of this world refuse to be kept downKate Middleton makes an unlikely symbol of social mobility. Born to millionaire parents, sent to a private school charging almost £30,000 a year and educated at Scotland’s most prestigious university, Prince William’s fiancée has wanted for little during her charmed time on earth. And yet, despite the expensive clothes and rich friends, Kate’s background tells a compelling story about the growth of social mobility over the past century.

Was in discussion with a royal mentor and friend who had a lot of good information to share. This person has the inside scoop, definitely.
"How about because it's true. Those of us who've been tracking this pathetic tale of grandiose self regard and ocean going social climbing will recall all the background. Carole with an "e"s mother was known as Lady Dorothy because she had such airs and graces and she cut off the poor side of the family. She lived in a council flat in Hounslow but had a huge Silver Cross pram for Wasty exactly the same as the Queen. Then there was that simpering email Wasty wrote to her friends as she moved in for the kill. Don't call me Kate any more, my name is Catherine. So everyone carried on calling her Kate. The Middletons are an average family with a bit of cash and a few interesting people on her father's side and a desperation to get away from the miners and lorry drivers on her mother's. And it's my belief that Mr Middleton is the worst of the lot. A chip on his shoulder for being cabin crew when his father was a pilot."

Further information provided (a good discussion!)
"The odd thing re Mike and Carole is there has never been anyone who has ever said anything about them during their time working at BA. They were there a long time and you would have thought someone would have commented - either they were fantastic or otherwise or something in-between. I do wonder if there aren't stories in editor's safes that have injunctions to prevent publication. If I was to write a book on any aspect of this yarn I would investigate Mike and Carole. Incidentally, it was said that it was an ex colleague of theirs at BA who was working as accommodation officer at At Andrews University and she wangled it for Kate to be in the same lodgings after pressure from her mother. Then there's the notorious and desperate story re Pippa at Edinburgh University putting in items to her place for coffee in pigeon holes of fellow students, except the only people she invited were wealthy aristocrats. No plebs and no other women for competition, thank you. Oh, and did you see that story in the Mail where the front door at Manson Manor is painted exactly the same shade of duck egg blue as Charles's at Highgrove? They always copy. Don't have an original idea in their heads."

Some of the comments (go to worst comments, they are usually the best on the pro-sugar Daily Mail!)
PGD1971, Chorlton, United Kingdom, 6 years ago
I expect that, in time, William will tire of the frump he has had to marry to produce an heir. Just like his father. I also expect that, when that day comes, the Middletons will be carefully airbrushed out of the baby prince's life and then Carole will see just how 'important' she is to the royals whose approval she so desperately craves. I hope that when she turns to the family she has shamefully cut out of her life because they are not good enough, they tell her exactly where to go, and that she ends up a sad and lonely woman telling anyone who will listen that she has a prince for a grandson. And no one will care.

Oh yeah, I'm a sad, horrible, lonely person just because I have an opinion which differs from the sheep who look up to the royals and their hangers-on. How's the mindless generalisation working out for you?

PGD1971 You may have an opinion, but calling people you haven't met a frump and to project a highly unlikely event a sensible opinion is utterly stupid. So - as the man said you seem to be a sad lonely person.

No, you are a sad, horrible, lonely person because it sounds like you are hoping for an unhappy marriage and divorce amongst other things. You don't know these people in private and your opinion is worthless. The fact that you refer to Kate as a "frump" that William "had to marry" is what makes you miserable. I suspect that if you had voiced your opinion less disrespectfully (I believe that in a few years this couple will divorce based on the track record of royal marriages or because I don't feel this is a really loving match), you would not have been red arrowed as much. Tired of people using the excuse of "their opinion" to be nasty to other people. Don't complain because the "opinion" of some others on here is that you are a sad, horrible, lonely person. They obviously have an opinion of you that differs from any other "sheep who look up to" you.

I agree with PGD1971. Carole Middleton seems like an appalling wannabe who craves the royal lifestyle.. She must be excrutiating to know, and I do also believe William has been played by another wannabe. Too many women about there choose a man for status and wealth, rather than genuine love.. and pushy mothers who egg them on. I don't see Kate as very genuine, and she certainly doesn't behave 'working class'

PGD1971 voices an intelligent opinion and suddenly becomes "sad", "lonely", "horrible" and "stupid"? Kate IS frumpy. She has a lumpy figure and no dress sense. Her family are all social climbers with absurd pretensions.

Perhaps if the rest of the Middleton clan all wore matching signet rings of their new paid for coat of arms on their pinkies, Carole could bring herself to relate to them more?

GoldenGoose I suspect you are a bit too thick to see the flaw in your own logic. So let someone rather more intelligent than you give you a hand. First you don't know PGD1971 "in private" so by your own reasoning that makes your opinion "worthless". Second you state that you are tired of people using the excuse of voicing an opinion to be nasty to others but you are apparently blind to the fact that this exactly what you are doing.

William did not have to marry Kate to make a heir, she isn't frumpy, she is actually very elegant much of the time, and although no one can predict the future, they appear to me to be a happy and loving family. They have been together for a very long time. Your comment says more about you than the royals as you have see from the the other replies.

www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/revealed-tragic-tale-of-how-duchess-of-cambridges-grandfather-died-9451442.html***************No doubt, this vile, spiteful harridan Dorothy Goldsmith and poor excuse of a woman and mother drove this poor man to an early grave, IMO. Well, seems like the poor man never had a real chance. Pity. Never a woman with any grace, class or dignity. A wannabe who never was. And look at her family legacy NOW. Revealed: tragic tale of how Duchess of Cambridge's grandfather died CLAUDIA JOSEPH Thursday 29 May 2014 11:53 0 comments With creepy son Gary Goldsmith, the chip off the block of his own disgraceful mother, Dorothy. If he were a real gentleman, James would move over, not stand up and make his sister step over him.
As for "Lady Dorothy," pity she instill a horror of work in her daughters. If raised right, Carole could have been running her own business before feeling the need to marry 'well' and end up pressuring her husband to start a silly party supply business. It would not surprise me if that old man was harried to an early grave after a miserable marriage. You know, my grandmother was someone who worked hard to build a life for her kids after she left her first husband (my paternal grandfather) and encouraged me all the time to do the same. For some reason, the Goldsmiths seem to really think that a good marriage means that they are entitled to riches and more status and it is a shame that she and so many others think that there is something infectious about making a living. Honest work will never make anyone trash.

Amen! I know I am being harsh on this family, but the graceless airs they put on, the way they treat others, etc, enrages me. It's like generations of them stepping over people, even their own family, to try to reach something rather unobtainable and meaningless - don't they ever think of the people they hurt? I am fairly certain "Lady" Dorothy brow-beat that man into an early grave -bet nothing he ever did meant anything to her. Guessing maybe he had the values and ethics she and her uppity daughter scorn. There's a reason why "Uncle Gary" and "Council Carole" are the way they are - apple never falls far from the tree. Harsh to state, but it's true.
