Why is Nicole described as an ex-wife, when she was never 'wifed' up by Albert; at best she is his official mistress, but that isn't even there either since an acknowledged mistress would be at least regarded as such. She was a girlfriend who was long term, but that ended and now she's an ex-mistress and I would not want to get known as that. Then Nicole got pregnant and the kid was proven to be Albert's, but it is clear that Nicole would just not shut up and raise her son outside of the Grimaldi mess. Her son has no real role and will never be a Prince of Monaco and will never replace his younger siblings. I also think that Nicole is so far out of line in regards to how she is raising her son in an environment of anger, resentment, and possibly hate and that will do nothing for him in the future as well. He is there as Albert's son and it is vital that Albert end up making sure his son is known that he is loved and wanted despite everything that went down. If Albert has any b@lls, he would stand up to his ex-sidepiece. No wonder Charlene doesn't want to go back - who asks to be bullied by a clearly jealous and resentful woman? Not only does Nicole have a go at Charlene but Caroline and Stephanie also are mean, cold and unsupportive to her.

Rainier failed as a father and Prince to put Caroline in her place instead of choosing to let Caroline run things as First Lady of Monaco. Supposedly Princess Ira Von Furstenburg wanted to be the second consort of Rainier, but Caroline thwarted it since she did not want to step down as her father's right-hand woman. Then there was the fact that Albert waited too long to get a proper wife/consort and therefore Caroline understandably saw her son Andreas as the next Prince of Monaco. Stephanie might not be too bad, but the lack of female support is quite disgusting. I also think that Caroline and Stephanie are a couple of tarts with titles and really have no business being acidic towards Charlene. I get sick and tired of hearing about how these types of women think that they're entitled to having nothing change. Princess Anne of the UK was acidic towards Diana and Fergie and I sincerely believe that had Anne had a different attitude, the marriage between Diana and Charles might have been better.

Alice Heine of New Orleans was the first American princess of Monaco, marrying Prince Albert I 67 years before Grace Kelly tied the knot with Rainier III.
Despite waiting eight years to wed her prince charming, the couple grew apart and mutual infidelity ruined their relationship, forcing her to seek solace in London's high society.

Why is he modeling? Can't he and others go into real professions? I mean seriously? He will inherit a chink of change, but he really needs to go into a profession outside of the spotlight and his crazy mother is clearly going to continue to make things harder on everyone.

Besides...he is nothing to write home about either.

No his isn't; his real, better choice would be to get real training, go into a profession, and then live a stable, solid life with a family of his own and maintain good relations with his father. Modeling these days is over-saturated and I am sick of seeing how so many entertainment fields have been ruined by all these wannabes who promote themselves rather than the brand.

I think something is horrifically wrong. Charlene does not look like she is getting better, she hasn't been seen in weeks, and now crazy Nicole is gunning for Charlene would Albert remains hapless.

Yeah he does. He needs to get it into Nicole's head that she will never be his wife and he does not want to marry her and never will make Alexandre the heir to Monaco. I also think that Albert needs to grow up and deal with his sisters who are nothing but trouble. This is why Albert had problems finding a decent woman, he has an out of control family and an out of control ex-mistress.

He really does need to deal with Caroline and Stephanie. Particularly Caroline. She's an arrogant one and I have no doubt she was unfriendly and unforgiving to Charlene.

Prince Rainier shouldn't have made Caroline de-facto First Lady and should have kept that space open for another wife and there should have been a second marriage and it would have been best to groom Caroline for a life outside of Monaco. Rainier should have remarried and not let Albert become a toxic bachelor and he should not have let Caroline run things for so long. After Grace's death, after a handful of years or longer, Rainier should have remarried and reminded the world that life has to go on and he has a right to make a new life with someone new. The real problem in Monaco has been that 'spares' don't have a life. If Caroline had been instructed to get a concrete education and training for work in either the Monaco or French government, I am certain that Caroline and Stephanie would have matured into very different women. Marrying Grace or any other actress was a mistake and for all her attitude, Grace was NOT from the upper classes where kids are disciplined from birth and Grace was a bad parent. Caroline even at a young age had a bad attitude and regrettably neither Caroline or Stephanie were raised to handle privileges responsibly. Grace was raised to believe that image was everything and I am certain that she passed all that down to her kids. Caroline did not raise her kids right and it is clear that she herself refuses to accept that she and her children were not entitled to become the next rulers of Monaco and were NOT aware that as they aged, their antics became pathetic.
That family is a trashy mess because they are still mentally in the 90's & 80's, not this current era where no one buys PR BS like they used to.

I think Caroline did a great job as First Lady. Rainier couldn't function well and honestly during the 80s Monaco was still a good respectable place albeit not a shining star like when Grace was alive.

As a spare Caroline should have been required to make a life outside of the royal court and outside of Monaco. Caroline might have been a good rep, but she should have been making her own life, not acting in a role that should have been filled by someone else. Albert was single for so long that Caroline just stepped in when she should have stepped back and lived her own life in her own way. After Albert married, Caroline did continue in a dominant role until a year or two later when Charlene finally really stepped up and Caroline has been likely seething since. I also think that Caroline has been having REAL issues dealing with the fact that her sons will not run Monaco after Albert is gone and it is clear that Caroline is not at all 100% happy that her expectations were dashed. I still say that as cold as it sounds, Caroline should have been put in her place as daughter of the Prince of Monaco so she wouldn't have problems stepping aside as Albert started to get serious as a man looking for a serious wife. Spares should be groomed to build a life of their own, not a life as accessory to the Heir/Heir's Consort and Caroline developed a lot of pretentiousness as deputy first lady and I do not think that it helped Albert find a wife sooner. A lot of women would not want to put up with an out of line SIL and a lot of women could see that Caroline would be a hassle, almost like Camilla was in regards to Charles. No woman wants to waste time/energy in putting up with a SIL who has no life of her own outside of being in a position that isn't really hers.
As for Grace, I am going to venture the theory that the accident was a suicide by proxy. Grace had been deteriorating a lot for some time (horrible weight gain, complaining more and more and more, depression, alcoholism, binge eating) and I think that the accident that caused her death ended up being a kind of 'accidental suicide' that sometimes happens in the event of really bad depression. "Car accidents" where there are no sign of the driver using the breaks to try to save themselves. Grace near the end of her life was not someone I would want to associate with or find admirable. She had started to get sloppy, did nothing much but try to find reasons to get away from Monaco, and then did poetry readings for charity and in my view, just plain moped. She could have been a great actress, had a great career, but really, she threw it away for Monaco. I think deep down Grace refused to accept responsibility for her situation and the choices she made in them.

If Rainier didn't want Caroline as first lady then she wouldn't have been. She also has helped Monaco after her mother's passing. Albert took forever to find a wife and she has stated how she wants to retire but Albert was not married.

Alexandre needs to seek out a profession, a real one, not as a model and not as a socialite living off of his father's money.
