You are right about that. Something very off about that entire relationship, but she's sticking it out for her babies.

In my view that is what makes her the best possible mother; she's like a Marine, no one left behind.

Prince Albert Quietly Changes The Rules Of Succession Of The Throne
Talk about a slap in the face; so Charlene would have to put up with a disrespectful council plus her sisters-in-law who (Caroline first and foremost) will likely do all they can to run her over. Yet another reason I am glad I am not Charlene. This is hugely disrespectful. One of the dynastic rights of any widow of a reigning prince/monarch has been that in the event of a death, the widow is granted the titles and power of Regent since it should be clear that the widow is best for that role. Now Charlene is being blatantly marginalized even in the event of his death. Hopefully that myopic fat porker will last long enough for the kids to reach their majority and Charlene can beat it out of there.

I was actually thinking along these lines last night. What a timely posting. I was thinking about the Rose Hanbury and her husband's case, about "choosing" the heaviest baby ( ) as the heir. Very stupid, IMO, but that's not a surprising move from Billy's rather vacant-minded and mindless "friend" and her alleged beard husband. There have been many cases of twins in royal history, and I don't remember the reference, but typically it was actually the 2nd child born (if two males) that was considered the heir, as it was alleged to have been conceived first? Again, I read that somewhere and wish I had the reference. It seems highly dysfunctional and abusive to marginalize the other twin just on the whims or impulsive choice of his parents. I feel for the poor child. You are right about the mother becoming the regent, and quite frankly, they managed QUITE well until their child came into their majority. If anything they enriched and managed the affairs of their countries/duchies extremely well, and were recognized for their efforts. Cases in point from my own personal studies:Mother of Queen Adelaide of the UK: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Louise_Eleonore_of_Hohenlohe-Langenburg7th GG of King Charles: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Charlotte_Amalie_of_Hesse-Philippsthal (herself the wife of a man whose father rejected primogeniture - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernhard_I,_Duke_of_Saxe-Meiningen) So, these cases (two of many) which show there was a precedent of mothers who became regents and were forces to be reckoned with. Truly admirable women, in any case. Back to the case in Monaco: Gabriella was born before her brother Jacques, but as the first born (and every European monarchy has changed to the heir being the first born), wasn't isn't Gabriella the heir? Why was 2nd born Jacques made the heir? people.com/royals/why-monacos-firstborn-wont-inherit-the-throne/Male-preference primogeniture. Okay, Monaco is a piddly little casino, blah blah, and hasn't gotten with the times. Constitutional monarchy, my a##. Back to the regency question there: Why is Albert okay with male preference primogeniture for his successor, but okay with a council of regents? Yes, it includes his sisters(?) but is there some kind of issue with having a "mere" woman being regent until her son reaches his majority? Regency by panel? REALLY?There is something seriously, seriously wrong at that casino, er, Kingdom. Ah hem.

Monaco has always been hyper neurotic. Grace, when she became Princess, had to come up with a dowry and a list of instructions on how to address her husband in public and in reference and in letters was handed to her. The Monagasque 'nation' is such a nothing place with a bunch of nobodies that it is clear that of course they are hyper neurotic about idiocy like the succession and other moronic stuff. As for stripping Charlene of sole Regency rights and position, this means that Charlene is being told that she is not important, even Diana never would have been treated this way. With consorts, the right of Regency is sacrosanct, not negotiable.

As for stripping Charlene of sole Regency rights and position, this means that Charlene is being told that she is not important, even Diana never would have been treated this way. With consorts, the right of Regency is sacrosanct, not negotiable. Albert, with his array of variously mothered bastards, is hardly in a position to be high-handed with the mother of his legitimate heirs, but the Monagasques seem to have always been leery of strong, independent women who make and stand by their claims: Such as: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Antoinette,_Baroness_of_Massy Gotta love this: Having divorced Noghès, she and her lover Jean-Charles Rey hatched a plan to depose her brother Rainier III, Prince of Monaco, and declare herself regent on the basis of having a son who would one day inherit the throne. This led to the breakup of the relationship.[2]
Rainier's marriage to Grace Kelly in 1956 and the arrival of his heirs, Princess Caroline in 1957 and Prince Albert in 1958, effectively scuttled Antoinette's plans. She was removed from the Palace by her sister-in-law, Princess Grace, and thereafter was estranged from the princely family for many years.[2]
She was known to be somewhat eccentric and was described as "completely mad"[2] by her servants. Having been banished from Monaco in the late 1950s, she lived down the coast from Monaco at Èze, with a large collection of dogs and cats.[3] She was the president of Monaco's Society for the Protection of Animals and Refuge[2] and a patron of the UK-based Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.[3]
Upon the accession of Albert II in 2005, Antoinette and her descendants lost their place in the line of succession to the Monegasque throne, which is limited to the current sovereign's descendants, siblings, and siblings' descendants.[4][2]
Here's another: www.independent.co.uk/news/obituaries/princess-antoinette-member-of-monaco-s-royal-family-decried-for-her-attempt-to-meddle-with-the-succession-2260020.htmlBefore Rainier met Kelly at the Cannes Film Festival in 1955 he had had a well-documented 10-year liaison with the French actress Giselle Pascal. The couple shared a villa in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, and considered marriage but, when Rainier ascended to the throne in 1949 on the death of Louis II, Antoinette began plotting a possible alternative to the succession.
Hoping to change the constitution that installed the eldest male heir as head of state, and become Princess Regent and have Christian replace or succeed her then childless brother, she began spreading rumours that Pascal was infertile. A doctor was said to have examined her and confirmed this, though she went on to marry the actor Raymond Pellegrin and bear him a daughter. But the whispers contributed to the end of Rainier's relationship with Pascal, and, for a while, made Antoinette persona non grata in the principality. She moved to neighbouring Èze, where she lived the rest of her life in a villa overlooking the Mediterranean called Le Bout Du Monde, surrounded by cats and dogs

For decades everyone thought Andreas was the future Prince of Monaco and now all three (Charlotte, Pierre, Andreas) became white trashy and in my view it is clear that neither are much of anything anymore (and they made nothing of themselves during their glory years). It is clear to me that Charlene was the best Albert could do. As for Grace, she was so promiscuous she ended up being notorious even in Hollywood, which is saying something. I think Grace married Ranier, was relived to marry Ranier, since no decent American man would have her. I am sick of the deification of a woman who was against feminism and was against what has gotten a ton of women out of bad places. Just for that alone, it makes me sick. The entire family is cheap trash and Charlene is the only decent one among that pack.

I hope she is holding on long enough until the children are of legal age; I hope the Grimaldis stop pretending that the public is naive or stupid. You can't fool or intimidate people with a lofty media release.

Aside: Honestly - always the sick accusations of racism.
What's an adult bastard (pardon that archaic term) doing with multi-million dollar apartments/condos and getting taxpayer handouts? Kidnap and ransom insurance? Is there an especial need for some to even know who this by-blow is?
Doubtful even known royalty from some of the smaller families would have this kind of insurance, but guessing that's Monaco for you. It's a damn casino and a few houses? www.celebitchy.com/854630/prince_alberts_former_accountant_is_telling_all_about_albert_charlene/Ameerah M says: January 25, 2024 at 7:56 am I hope Alexandre’s mother has also squirreled away money for him (and that Albert has put money aside for him). Because if/when Albert dies Charlene’s racist a$$ will try everything to make sure he gets nothing. She treated that kid like garbage (didn’t she at one point have him living in the servant’s quarters?). Also her employing undocumented workers tracks – she probably treats them like crap. Reply Zapp Brannigan says: January 25, 2024 at 8:09 am Does anyone actually believe that Charlene is advertising jobs, sorting through CV’s and arranging start dates for new hires? Come on now, these people have staff to put toothpaste on the royal toothbrush they are not “hiring” anyone. They have offices dedicated to doing this stuff. Reply Ameerah M says: January 25, 2024 at 8:11 am Not really my point. Mtl.Ex.Pat says: January 25, 2024 at 8:48 am @ameerah – Well Charlene is a white South African who grew up while apartheid was still in place….Just saying…. Aside: Good for her, then. If Albert is spreading his seed like caviar on a Ritz cracker and Charlene is being subject to the humiliations and greed of the baby mamas at large, then I say, do what you need to and look after yourself and family.
Not exactly right and mor@l, I know, but Albert is not one to talk unless he takes stock of his own life and what he is subjecting his wife and children to.
Digital Unicorn says: January 25, 2024 at 7:58 am The shadiness of the Grimaldi’s is well known and yeah, sounds like Charlene is hitting Albert where it hurts – his pocket.
Reply sparrow says: January 25, 2024 at 7:59 am Is anyone on here familiar, to any degree, with what Charlene was like before her marriage? Did she seem like a happy person? She looks so unhappy and ‘elsewhere’ sometimes; it’s hard for an outsider to her background, such as myself, to understand whether she has always been like this, or whether this relationship has changed her personality completely, which is the sense I get but I could be wrong. Just an idea/impression of her life before all of this would help. Thanks in advance.
Reply Cessily says: January 25, 2024 at 8:06 am I don’t remember ever seeing her before her sobbing throughout her wedding was worldwide news. I know I read she was a swimmer, but I have never see photos or footage of her during that time. It doesnt sound like she has ever been a happy or nice person ever from what I have read about her.
Reply Mel says: January 25, 2024 at 3:38 pm I thought the talk at the time is that she had no idea about Albert’s sextracuricular activities and all of his outside kids. When she did find out she tried to back out and was forced to got through with the wedding. I mean he has to take care of his kids , she can’t leave because they’d probably cut her off from her kids, so she takes her revenge by spending all of his money. What a mess.

I'm sick of it too.
First, human nature dictates that it is natural to look after one's own kind; second, Charlene DOES NOT OWE ALEXANDRE A THING!
Third, Alexandre should be screamed at to start working and paying his own way. He isn't disabled and he is being a mooch. He wants to be a male socialite, but well-connected men are entering the workforce and a profession, and they are indeed not idling around on money that isn't entirely theirs. Alexandre is of legal age, and he has no right to the luxuries paid for by the State. I AM SO SICK OF THIS!!!!!!!!!!! He is being a leech. His mother Nicole has likely filled his head with lies about Charlene and he has a solid PERSONAL relationship with his father Albert, and I sincerely hope Alexandrer lives a good life, but it is obvious that he has a bad attitude and mindset, and he is going to get into serious trouble if he does not find a serious profession. His mother is grooming him to be a parasite and 'being a socialite' has changed since more and more well-connected men and women are using their twenties to embed themselves in their professions and workforce. I am fed up with these Europeans and their parasitic mindset deciding to come to the States and demand that everyone hand them a good life.
I am sick of it. Now Delphine of Belgium wants inclusion on state events and basically threatened the Belgian Prime Minister with a letter from a lawyer.
Nicole is the real racist, not Charlene. I am sick of hearing about how Charlene is bad bad bad without realizing that Nicole had no right to have a kid out of wedlock and keep starting up BS with Charlene and Albert passively lets her. I am sick of Charlene putting up with so much and Celebitches calling her such an obscene thing.
Don't get me started on Jazmin; she is accomplishing nothing in Hollywood and maybe she fancies her father will at some point buy her a career.

The sense of entitlement with all these characters is beyond the pale. They certainly cannot "read the room", can they? We live in a world now where nothing can be taken for granted - people are truly struggling, yet there are some due to an accident of birth, think they deserve so much better than the rest of us. On my trip to Europe back in the summer, whilst visiting a certain royal location, came across who was actually the princess of the house tending to the ticket counter. I recognized the woman (didn't say anything. other than if she knew where a certain royal portrait was, lol), but heard from a couple of other ladies I came across (either the day before or after, ironically) that they knew the prince of the house (the above lady's father; this family is related to every royal house in Europe, including Monaco's).We got into a discussion about maintenance of the Mausoleum there (apparently not in mint condition, and are housed the crypts of the ancestors of King Charles, TOO), maybe not being tended to due to lack of funds, various health issues, etc, and were thinking of contacting the man, but understood he wasn't doing too well). So to sum it all up, certain families, including old royal ones, had their own struggles and whatnot, but you don't hear of them. Not their financial struggles, certainly no premieres, grand parties or multi-million condos/flats for various illegitimate children. Working the ticket desk for crying out loud. You want relevance, kids? Well, get off your lazy behinds, get an education/training and work your a## off, and then maybe, big MAYBE, you will see the fruits of your labours. Otherwise, stop running to the bloody media each and every time you don't get your f***ing way. Grow the ^$$# up.

Otherwise, stop running to the bloody media each and every time you don't get your f***ing way. Grow the ^$$# up. I get frustrated mainly since we ALL have to develop lives of our own. Alexandre and Jazmin are living a plush life on their father's dime and that ALONE makes them luckier than most. Delphine had a billionaire for a father who was going to leave her his fortune despite the fact that she was not a Boel biologically and second, Philippe and the rest of the legitimate dynasts have a right to an area of their life that is their own. Jazmin and Alexandre need to accept it that they have to work. They have to earn their own way. Second, the real problem with the royalty and aristocracy is a refusal to be practical and work hard on self-development. They can't have it all or be part of everything. They do not belong everywhere. Madeleine does not belong in the States, not with her HRH and she does not belong playing at being an American socialite. Second, I am sick of hearing these illegitimate kids who have no right to certain types of status trying to worm their way into the lives of Jacques and Josephine and undermining Charlene and publicly humiliating her. Albert refuses to allow Charlene the respect due a Princess Consort of any Sovereign and frankly put, I am fed up with how Charlene gets called a racist while her illegitimate stepson and other dynastically illegitimate stepdaughter get to live foot loose and fancy free on her husband's dime. Charlene is a former Olympian and you can't take that type of discipline and now have it suppressed effectively. Charlene has a right to spend her husband's money on what she wants. Alexandre is well cared for and so is Jazmin and quite frankly she should be allowed to live her life as she sees fit. Jazmin obviously will not be making it very far in Hollywood if she continues to be kind of lazy and does not going into training and she is obviously just being a leech off of her father. Amazing how well she lives despite not working or training or anything. It might be ultimately up to Albert, but I dislike how they do not really want to prive themselves against others by subjecting themselves to challenges.
