Even if the Cambridges were the ones instrumental in PH & MM departure, I still consider that MM had plans to leave even before the engagement. She wanted to be adored in the US plus she also wanted the number 1 position in the Royal Family. She had no concept that the Queen was number 1 and there was a heirarchy. PH was lower down the order. Happy for people to disagree but MM had plans to exit early on. She never got citzenship - may have put papers in but was never planning to stay longterm.

It was clear from some of the photos that she wanted to be the one higher up the chain particularly the way she looked at PW (not sure she preferred him to PH but wanted the higher position).

Sure both spouses (Cambridge and MM) don't get on but this happens with some families - different personalities. Plus both had an agenda so it was obvious neither one would let the other ruin their ultimate goal.

Whatever comes out in these next episodes about being fed to the wolves and that the Cambridges always had to always have the glowing media it is coming across now as sour grapes, jealousy and spite. The whinging has been going on for so long and they should have outed this type of story in the beginning. It is now too late. The Cambridges are now POW and Princess of Wales and any slanging match against them won't stick as much as earlier on.

The lies and manipulation by MM and PH diminishes any truthful messages or increases any public perception of sympathy to them.

MM is gone when it comes to future contracts and mega $'s. They have both made fools of Netflix and it didn't help when they were using snippets that were not their own, breaching security at the Palaces and clearly trying to twist the facts.

As I have said before I don't subscribe to Netflix nor have any intentions of watching the whingefest. I'll read about it in various media articles and work out my own opinion.

I do hope that KC keeps the silent treatment following the release of the latest instalment. How to get ahead of narcissists is not to feed them with anything. Silence is golden.

I am surprised that MM hasn't figured that any possible inheritance that PH could receive from the late Queen and DoE may be held back for some time. Surely KC understands that PH is not well and should not be trusted with responsibility (as MM and her mother would surely be trying to get their hands on it for their own final agenda).

I agree - there had to be an intention to go back to the USA, and I believe there was a lot of talk about this on the "old" RG, before the alleged Middletons destroyed the site. There was some about her political aspirations, resuming her career, etc, and I think the fact she invited various American celebrities/media types etc was a set up for that future life. It's unbelievable IF she really believed she could waltz in and take over/change the family to suit her alleged agenda. That was never going to happen - any outsider coming into ANY family has to pay their dues, so to speak. Now, we know about all the issues with the Cambridges, etc, and I will just not get into that much here because that has been and is being discussed in many other threads, plus right now just a little sick of that pair.

Look at the list of celebrities vs family/friends, REAL friends possibly? With all due respect, why was Elton John there? - playing some kind of quasi-mother role for Harry or something? (and forgive me for this, but Elton's own children don't have the fundamental influence of a mother, so maybe he should focus on THAT and his children's welfare and not worry about the princes?) I have to admit I didn't watch the wedding, and didn't watch the Cambridges', either. Had no interest, ironicially.

Anyhoo... and pardon me from flinting from one point to another, but sometimes that is how I roll, but why is Meghan's so called sister/niece blaming the BRF when it was obvious that Meghan probably had no intention of including her family, and maybe because they weren't "important" to her future schemes/lifestyle? Some celebrity's shack-up/bed partner gets an invite, yet one's own father and other family members who loved and treated you with love and care don't? Markus Anderson? Rumoured SOHO house quasi-pimp?

To me, at least, this was screaming "future agenda". They wanted to make a serious point even at the wedding, when the eyes of the world would be on THEM. No, "I just wanted a quiet, private wedding with an organic vegan cake, flowers and a homemade dress" bullshyte.

Meghan seemed to always have the intention not to make the BRF a long-term plan - she snagged the prince and with that, in her mind anyways, the controls. What she and of course the not so swift Harry Spencer didn't plan on was the family drama/dysfunction/secrets carrying on behind the scenes - the Cambridges, segments of the British Press, etc, tossing a wrench into their (her?) plans. There are so many layers to this epic melodrama that even what Meghan planned on is just but one thin one.

Meghan tossed away her father, uncle(?), other family members/friends/colleagues who couldn't be taken advantage of/used/were tapped out, etc, and now had to move on to a new set of potential supporters for her future agenda/schemes. Meghan kept Momma Doria as she would be more in keeping with her apparent need to fall back on the victimhood/racism excuse if and when she didn't get her way. Generous/rich and/or loving/caring father/uncle figures, etc, just would get in the way of that. How can one play the victim if one was actually spoiled and treated very well? One cannot hook and keep an insecure and vulnerable prince with a longing for support and sympathy when one doesn't play the put-upon victim and wounded soul herself. Oh, God forbid!!!!! To top it off, drag in the long deceased venerated mother Diana, play on that, and viola, he's yours for life.

Yes, she and Harry have gone about things the wrong way, and say goodbye to any future influence in Hollywood, major deals, etc, because too many people are just beaten down and tired. When one really thinks about it, what Meghan and Harry are spouting out about SHOULD be done in private - what political import are their tirades against the family and press? Is what they REALLY know/have to say going to change the course of the UK and Commonwealth? If NOT, then shut up until you can really reveal what is important and game-changing. Put up or SHUT UP. Until you do, it's just ho-hum family bickering/in-fighting and nothing that really needs to warrant our time.

I agree with most of what you said. However, what is the story really? Did William leak strategically against Harry? Yes. Did H&M leak as well? Yes. The fact is that William couldn’t kick Harry out on his own. The truth and the story is that the entire British establishment, deeply resented Meghan, didn’t want her in, and certainly wanted her out. She is a liability, she downgrades their already diminished prestige, and she is an obvious adventurous golddigger. That is what H&M won’t say, because it is an embarrassment to them. Harry lost his position, because he married a woman that is simply too far below his station. He was too arrogant and selfish to listen to the warnings from the establishment.

Harry attacked Charles in the Oprah interview, and now attacks William in this newest instalment of their ’truth’, because he doesn’t dare to attack the monarch. If he is not going to actually say what happened, then he should shut up!
They are trying to use the continuous threat of truth bombs and tell all’s, as triangulation and blackmail, hoping that threats of embarrassment will cause the BRF to give into their demands, of titles for their children and continued public funding and security — it won’t. In fact it is now impossible, because the British public will be furious if it happens.
All of this will only strengthen Williams position, and undermine Harry’s self proclaimed victim status.
Meghan is so hated and Harry so disliked now, that what they say doesn’t matter anymore. Everyone has seen her offend the Queen with her mock curtsy. That is what sticks.

In fairness to Meg, Harry was never going to be better than the choices he had made and Harry was never going to get a Nobel Prizewinning scientist or even writer and he was most certainly not going to find anyone smart who would want to put up with the work, media abusiveness, and WK's machinations. No smart woman willfully puts herself in situations like that. Why would anyone want someone as unstable as Harry anyway? Or put up with doing Kate's work and getting zero respect and being treated as perpetually second rate and as a media whipping post? Harry might be a prince, but these days women are looking for a man who is safe, not just good at providing material security that women get for themselves. Women are smarter than to try out a situation that looks unsteady, unstable, and potentially abusive. Meg should not have had to put up with the abuse the press dished out. Meg had already made enough of herself and as for gold-digging, she was working and earning her own way. Meg had to make a living and wanted to do it well and she had a right to look after herself. Women rightly don't want to marry a broke guy who has nothing. Not at nearly forty. SO no judgement there.

The real issue to me is how the BRF has such a grand imperial view of themselves that they refuse to accept that they have to offer more than a title and their narcissistic view of the world.

To me the real problem with Meg is that she takes thing so insanely personal. When reading her biographies they mention how she was sitting in bed sobbing about not getting roles with a loaf of bread and a glass of wine. That is so melodramatic and it shows that Meg was not able to separate the personal from the professional. Getting rejected in Hollywood is as frequent as rain in England and it is just part of the industry. Meg seems personally offended that she had to live thriftily, had to drive a beat up car, had to stand in front of pervy casting directors, and seemed personally offended that SHE would have to do prep for a part. Her marriage to Trevor seems that she is trying to make Trevor be an indulgent daddy who would give her roles like her father gave her money or a great life. It's not like she seemed to spend time with an acting coach and she didn't spend time getting word out that she was doing all these things. With her work as a briefcase girl and the parties she went to, she reminds me of Jennifer Garner who constantly wants to remind everyone how 'better' she is while she is just as much of an opportunist. Meg seems to think that her work as a briefcase girl meant that she was herself a cheap easy lay and I remember reading how Meg didn't want the public to be viewing HER as an adulteress who had affairs with coworkers. Meg can't separate the public persona of a well behaving royal duchess with herself as a self made woman and it is irritating as all get out. The public sees people one way and the private set sees the person in a way that is different. Behaving well or following protocol does not make you weak, it means that you are self assured not to take walking two steps behind personally. What really irks me is how she threw away a private university education on partying and she could have spent four years working her way into uni productions and could have had help since EVERYONE wants to help a uni student. She would have been able to gain a ton of credits and with her ambition if she had directed it properly, then she would have ended up well experienced enough to get better roles and perhaps even offers.

Thing is, that After she left the entertainment industry she kept lashing out at it as if the producers and who knows who else who in her deranged view, owed her roles and owed her a respect that has nothing to do with the work. Professional actresses know that their nudie scenes are withing the context of the character and are within the context of the film, not a personal predatory act. Meg talked about her time as a briefcase girl as if she had been trafficked and exploited and had gained nothing. That wasn't the reality of the situation. Meg then talked about race, as if the industry is all about image (it is) and talked about missing out as if she had had education and training at Julliard and even still, she was owed nothing. I do not think that she was serious about being an actress mainly since she wouldn't have her father pay for her to go to Julliard and instead just wanted to be a rich kid among other richies and wanted to be in a privileged, indulgent setting. She talked about the work at the embassy as 'being only donkey work' as if she should have been handed a role as ambassador fresh out of uni and she was somehow 'better' than someone who had to prove herself like everyone else.

Now for her time in the UK, she seemed to take it personally how she had to put up with media abuse and she was slandered outright, but she spent much of her time as an active duchess jet setting and worrying more about the wider world where she had no place and ignored UK stuff that should have had priority. Meg resigned her UN position despite not being required to and she spent much of her time with celebs, ignoring her family and ignoring former coworkers and ignored her genuine support system in favor of alliance building. She spent millions going to asinine events and made a fool of herself whining about her problems at the palace in front of genuinely starving people. Then there is the fact that she has always had a bad attitude and no one wants to work with that. No one wants to put up with the bad attitude of someone who refuses to respect a sincere professional. There is no way that Meg was willing to stay in the UK, pick an area (out of the entire UK/Commonwealth) and work on it and stay in the community and make much of her time there. She should have been doing that and she should have been spending her time with a licensed medical professional instead of asking a courtier to act as a psychologist to suicidal ideation.

Harry's helplessness is a simple refusal to order his wife to go to a psychologist and instead Meg has shown a history of burdening people with responsibilities that are not theirs to shoulder. It's not Harry's job to help Meg and his helplessness comes from the fact that he is not educated or trained to handle Meg's problems (not his fault or a flaw in who he is as a person). Meg is not the responsibility of her husband in regards to her mental health. Harry is not responsible for healing her emotional problems. I think this is similar to her situation with Trevor where he was expected by Meg to give her roles despite that it wasn't Trevor's job to give much of anything to her. Trevor had his own reputation to consider and he had his own profession to preserve.

Now that Meg is out of the UK she keeps shirrint it all up as if she has some inability to let it all go and get on with her life.

Canada put the foot down with not paying for the security. Why pay for security for royals who stepped away and were not even canadians.

They blamed Australia for the start of their downfall because they claimed they were so popular here that they overshadowed other Royals. From the movie the Castle - all I can say is 'Tell 'em they're dreaming!'

Now it looks like people in the US are fed up with their antics 'Kiss America goodbye'

Unfortunately, honestly, Markle does not appear to come across as a good actress. She appears to be attempting to act though not to act well. She comes across as artificial.

She also seems to erroneously think herself a much better actress than she is. I originally had almost no interest in her at all for years as she appeared on tabloid covers at the checkout line after her engagement was announced. Honestly, I thought her surprisingly average, plain and not memorable and had never heard of her. However, I had been happy apparently Harry had become engaged and seemed content.

After all this hullabaloo, I recently saw some scenes of her in that TV show I had never even remotely heard of earlier. Incidentally, as I am aware, I don't think much of anyone had ever heard of that show.

It is also my impression that cable channel is not thought of as having any prestige original TV programming.

In that clip, she attempts to act and tries to appear to cry. It is painfully awful acting to watch such that the editor appeared to have had to quickly cut away. This contributes to my impression that her dad, her SAG lie then her ex then Harry got her all her roles. As a result, it seems possible she erroneously everyone or even anyone thinks she can act though she appears awful.

If this is what they wanted to say all along, she shouldn't have done all those terrible interviews about hardly anyone asking her how she was, about getting to know just her with no media filter while promiting her podcast, about so many noticeably not true statements in the Opera (soap Opera) interview and about changing the dishwashing soap commercial as a girl. She should have acknowledged, apologized for and addressed her many untruths, as she was already known for laughing and announcing to audiences she was a fraud. She has not once taken responsibility.

Also, this simply distracts from the Epstein and Andrew awful delay and open questions that should be investigated.

This contributes to the impression that the monarchy resulted in colonialism, including relating to India and China, Andrew, Epstein and Maxwell's reception, Weinstein and as I recall Ferguson and maybe Andrew socializing, Charles' mistressES and Camilla, Charles and Savile, Mountbatten and extreme inappropriateness with children, Will and Kate and her inappropriateness, Gary Middleton drugs and young girl prostitutes, Pippa and some gun appearing pointed at a car, Ferguson selling access to this family, Jacinta Saldana whose family said she was not suicidal, all or almost all at taxpayer expense. These should be and regarding a couple should have then been investigated. I think this monarchy should end. It appears an ugly, ambitious, greedy power grab all at taxpayer expense.

Kate used to use her taxpayer guard to guard her car as she shopped so she didn't have to pay a parking meter as everyone else. did They decided this is all about self-aggrandizement. This obviously is not at all a meritocracy.

One thing I do know is that royals are having it both ways; Harry should not be able to travel freely and live here without going through the usual processing and second, what unnerves me is the lying and lack of willingness to follow the basics. By now she should be settled back in the UK, or have produced enough for Netflix to work with. She keeps lying even though she knows deep down that people do their research and the media is increasingly fundamentally decentralized. She can't get away with lying just like the BRF can't get away with lying all the time.

EVEN WORSE, I am sick and tired of the US Government letting these royals come in and cause chaos. Harry and Meg should be told to leave the country and so should other royals. They don't automatically belong here and so they should be making an effort to contribute, a real contribution, or they should be made to leave. Harry isn't likely here legally anyway and Meg shouldn't hold a legally recognized hereditary title and American citizenship, it is completely contradictory legally and antithetical to American law and culture.

Our American government really has to start focusing on their JOBS and not their social justice projects. They are supposed to be providing and maintaining a place for Americans, not spoiled former royals.

Meg is beginning to remind me of Betty Broderick; she is fixated on roles and not people as human beings and she is hugely resentful of past situations. Meg and Harry are whining about the past, psychotically fixated on a past that is dead and buried and they shouldn't be dragging other people back. It is clear in my view that the couple is spiraling, but Meg is the one who is sinking deeper and deeper into far more intense psychosis.

Meg is intimidating and controlling her mother and for a mother to fear her daughter, that is a huge bright red flag. Meg is sick and has been sick for far longer than before she even set foot in Hollywood. She is clearly someone who got seriously lost along the way and refuses to accept that she has had extraordinary luck in life and it is clear that she refuses to sacrifice any sense of specialness. She does not strike me as someone who accepts that she has to earn her own way. Like Betty, she is invested in roles and accompanying social status, she is not at all aware of the fact that human beings are not characters in her ongoing mental narrative.

I think we are looking at a situation that is not going to go well at all. Meg at some point will have some kind of breakdown and it will end ugly. The couple isn't just saying stuff, they are DEMANDING that the public agree with them. Meg is demanding that the public hate the BRF and hate almost everyone.
