THIS goes to show what happens when you raise two young men with huge privilege and ZERO self sacrifice. If they had been raised right, raised realistically, there is no way that either would have ended up in the mess that they got caught up in. I am dead sure that if they had been raised with the reality that you can't have it both ways, you can't BE both ways on command, none of this would have happened. neither should have been raised with the delusion that you can switch yourself on and off like a light and neither should have been raised with the delusion that they could get away with behaving like this and still attract a decent type.

Kate needs to learn her real place in this world and it is not at all being involved in any kind of negotiations. Kate is not blood, she is William's wife and she has no business acting like she and Harry were part of the same life since childhood. She is nothing more than William's wife she has got to stop acting like she is more to Harry than just the wife of his brother. She has go to stop acting like she has any kind of a right to any kind of say in or over Harry's life and if for once, she were put in her real place, maybe some kind of tete-a-tete can be worked out.

It's been decades since her death, maybe they need to move on and live life instead of keening over their dead mother. I sincerely think this Diana Worship on their part has in fact done more damage to their relationship rather than helping them bond. They aren't vulnerable little boys and I am sick of hearing about Diana. She died a horrible death, but she was living a bad life and was not making good decisions at the time of her death. She wasn't nineteen after her death and was not someone who lived a disadvantaged life.

In the past, I thought that Diana was simply a get out of jail card, that H & W used to gain sympathy, when they had done something wrong, or simply to boost their respective popularity.
It’s become clear that w and particularly H are traumatised and deeply obsessed with their mother. It’s in a way that is quite sick. I don’t say it to be disparaging of either prince, but I would urge them to put things into perspective.
If Diana had lived, William wouldn’t have married Kate and Harry not Meghan. The choice of both wives, are an expression of their sense of loss and continued grief (obsession) over the death of their mother.

Watching people at the top go at each other is like watching a set of dysfunctional parents fight nonstop while the kid cries because they have needs too and the parents are too self absorbed to realize that their BS is just hurting themselves, but most importantly, the kid. Harry and William are so eager for battle and drama (with the wives joining right in just as enthusiastically) that they are neglecting their charity work and neglecting their responsibilities to each other as family. Their behavior is positively white trash. You would think they would see this, but they don't. Meanwhile, both like to gang up against their father and rip him to pieces, distracting Charles from his Prince's Trust charity work and making a public fool of him in the eyes of diplomats and other delegates from around the world.

Just the standard visits, maybe small items in the newspaper, etc. Harry and William were ruined by their mother's myopic vision and sense of victimhood. I find it ironic, too, that the Spencers hypocritically got on the outrage bandwagon, too. How DARE you do this to our sainted sister; our family? Uh, you have been royal lackeys for how many generations and centuries? Back to the Duke of Marlborough, deadbeat father to a royal bastard, betrayer of his patron James II (who backed and supported his wedding; made it possible), hen-pecked husband and certified dimbulb who didn't know how to place toothpaste on a brush (so I've read...) going forward, the Spencers knew their power was currying royal favour, but they weren't too swift in understanding concepts like simple loyalty and gratefulness. When Champagne Charlie was huffing and puffing about Diana'a "real family", I had to roll my eyes. What gross hypocrisy. The Spencers sucked up to power each and every time they got, and this going back centuries. And their rather bullying insistence on male heirs, when even the BRF had no issues with their female ones; several of their longest serving monarchs were female. There were problems in that family going back for the longest time, and it all got dumped on the BRF. But the public more or less didn't realize that, as they were so caught up in the Diana victim narrative, and oh, how bad Charles was to her, etc, etc, I am beyond fed up with the hypocrisy. |

The Spencers got rich off of sheep farming and did not bring service to the nation in the form of war/battles. The Wellington line is just about as noveau, but they are Dukes since Wellington defeated Napoleon twice and EARNED that Dukedom as a result. The Howard and Percy dynasties are loaded with military veterans/service in their line and I am certain that this is why HM happily would have approved of Lady Jane Wellington and if not (some like Tina Brown think) that the entire problem is that Camilla would not back off and give Charles space to find someone solid, not just an airhead. Adding Wellington genes would have enriched the line and ended up bringing Englishness and toughness that the Spencers lack in spades. Lady Jane might have had to put up with Camilla, but Jane would not have self-destructed. I also think that if the Windsors didn't CARE about the media, that Charles would have chosen better. Their weakness has always been their perception of media opinion.

Who is Harry to require his OWN FATHER to beg him for anything? Every privilege and freedom Harry had is because of Charles; if not for Charles, Harry would be the son of a yob and would be living a gutter, vagrant life or at least working poor, not living in palaces and castles. I also think that Harry has just lost his mind from the flip his life went back in 2020 and I don't think Meg even spends all that much time, what with her stalking politicians and such.
