William and Kate are on the rocks...

Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton have agreed to a trial separation after a series of rows about their future together, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.
The couple have decided to 'cool their relationship' while they concentrate on their exams, which start in January.
William, 22, has told Kate that he will take a month off when he finishes his finals at the end of May and plans to go travelling alone, possibly to return to Kenya where his close friend Jecca Craig and her family run a wildlife reserve.
Friends say his relationship with Berkshire-born Kate, 21, has been on the rocks since the summer when William went on a boys-only holiday in Greece.
Now he has told Kate, a history of art student, that he wants to take the heat off their romance because he is feeling 'claustrophobic' and needs some time out to think about their future and concentrate on his studies.
Brunette Kate is still sharing the house she, William and a third student rent outside St Andrews town centre, but she is considering moving out, sources in St Andrews revealed last night.
A close friend of the Prince told The Mail on Sunday: "The relationship has been going on for a lot longer than most people realise and it has now hit the rocks. Wills has said they are cooling things."
The couple 'cooling things'
The couple, who have been dating for more than a year, have to move out of their home in May and William has told Kate he does not plan to stay in St Andrews until the graduation ceremony at the end of June.
A source close to William at St Andrews said problems in the relationship had "come to a head".
The source added: "They have been having very serious discussions about their future and there's a lot of pressure for both of them. The relationship has been in trouble for a while.
"William has said he won't be sticking around when he finishes his finals. He has said he needs some thinking time. He is talking about travelling as soon as his exams finish and is giving the strong impression that it won't be with Kate.
"He has been unhappy in the relationship for a while, but the last thing he wants is a high-profile split in the crucial months leading up to his finals.
"Although he thinks the world of Kate he has confided to at least one of his best friends that things have been getting a little boring and he thinks that they are better suited as friends.
"The truth is he thinks that when they graduate in the spring, they'll go their own ways.
"William seems to be making his own plans for when he finishes his degree. He's under a lot of pressure, not just with his finals coming up but also because of the number of decisions he's going to have to make, both to do with Kate and his own career."
Cracks appeared in September
According to members of the Prince's inner circle, cracks started to appear in the relationship in September when William and six of his friends took their boys-only sailing holiday in Greece.
The group hired an all-female crew, which is said to have upset Kate, who was told she was not welcome on the cruise.
"William had a great holiday with the boys," said the source. "There was a lot of drinking and a lot of fun. It was Wills's idea to request an all-female crew.
"During the summer he was moaning to his friends about how claustrophobic he was feeling in his relationship with Kate.
"He had specifically said when he planned the trip that it was to be a boys-only holiday and Kate was not invited.
"Kate is a lovely girl but quite normal almost to the point of being square, and the truth is that although William gives the impression of being shy, he likes the company of racy and outgoing girls."
Speculation
While William has also been linked to Miss Craig after his visits to Kenya, his close friendship with Anna Sloan, an heiress who lives in Nashville, Texas, is said to have caused ructions in his romance with Kate.
William visited Anna, also 22, at her 360-acre estate in the summer shortly before his trip to Greece and has said he plans to visit her again in the New Year.
"Anna's name keeps cropping up with William," said one friend last night. The Prince has always insisted that their relationship is platonic. But the friend said: "The truth is William actually cast his net in her direction before he went out with Kate, but Anna rejected him. Nevertheless, they've stayed very close."
Although Kate was absent from the society wedding of Edward van Cutsem and Tamara Grosvenor this month, which William attended, friends say that she and the Prince remain close friends.
Just two weeks ago Kate accompanied him to Highgrove where they celebrated Prince Charles's birthday, and earlier this month they attended a dinner together in St Andrews.
A spokesman for Clarence House last night refused to confirm or deny the split and said: "We never talk about William's private life."
